Hey, that's an excellent idea.

... However, it seems to be a lot of work.
Lol, it took me 2-3 hours only to find (and chose - because I'm a very picky moron) images for my character and her companion(s). Changing all those horrid pics from \res\images\characters with others reflecting the changes made in .xml save - that's a full weekend chore. And cropping low res jpgs took from deviantart for 12-16 hours it's not quite my idea of "fun". (That is, without counting the .xml editing as well.)

Thank you for sharing tho. If I ever do this on a level better than "for personal use" I'll share the images and a save at day 1 level 1. But after reading previous comments about general attitude regarding "defurrification" I suspect this would upset a lot of... uhm... "people".
Most of us wouldn't give a shit as long as you're not coming in swinging and trying to be insulting. The whole anti-furry thing was played out in 2005. If you don't like it, that's cool. Just don't be a dick about it.

That said, I personally wouldn't bother. Pretty much all this game has going for it at this point is the character customization. And if you take 90% of that out, you're left with a really shallow game with shitty combat, progression, and barely any story. And none of the underlying mechanics will make a lick of sense with a purely human setting lol

Thank you for taking the time to answer. Can't say I'm thrilled of what I've learned.

It appears all the depth and detail in this game it's just on surface. Once you try to dig deeper you hit hard rock.
Eh, I would've expected more judging by it's age.

I'll keep playing to see where story-line leads me.

Later edit. Question. I'm not exactly a fan of bestiality / inter-species sex. (That's why my character only partner is that Angel girl - and that's why character is still a virgin). Turning furries off from options only affected randomly generated NPCs - story characters are still half-animals. That being said, my only option to enjoy the lewd part of the game is Angel or human slaves?
Lilith's Throne is a game that caters primarily to furries, the human-only option was added as an afterthought to please those who do not like anthros. One of the recurring problems with this game is that it tries to do many things at once and please as many crowds as it can, but being spread so thin means it falls short of everything and fails to please anyone. Most features and mechanics are only half-baked and lack depth, and this is another one of those examples.

As you've realized by now, the options only affect random NPCs by design*1, some of the (non-human) static NPCs have major roles in the story and lore of the world and it wouldn't make much sense for them to humans (humans in this world have the second worst place in the social hierarchy, being only marginally better and more important than imps, which are at bottom). Lilaya, your aunt, is only able to kickstart your adventure because of her predicament, which is attached to her race (and status) as a half-demon.

While some people may argue that the story doesn't matter and gameplay should always come first, this is yet another unfortunate byproduct of a game spread in every direction. When this projected started, Inno intended for it to be an RPG but as time went on more focus was placed on sandbox-y elements... now the community is split on it.

What all of this effectively means however, is that you're strapped for choices if you don't like furries.

*1 (I believe it states somewhere the dev plans to change this further down the line... when, we don't know. I wouldn't hold my breath on it.)

I very much like the sandbox element, but once you hit level 50, max stats for you and your summon all that's left is the story. The combat loses its *already thin* appeal very quickly when there is nothing to gain from it.

In total I think I spent about 12-14 hours in this game. Right now I'm at the point where I collected all 3 keys, so I assume I'm about to end the main story - and probably the game. Most interesting combat so far was the chain-combat with Vengar and it's team. Ended it with 126 out of 1000 hp lol. After that I took the regen perk :)

It's not that "I don't like furries". Just as I don't like games where the dev(s) insert unavoidable rape scenes, I don't like to see a character I grow and develop having sex with half-humans. (I'd like you to notice that I chose my wording very careful here in order to avoid insulting other forum members). I also dislike pairing with orcs, imps, goblins, demons.... pretty much anything non-human. Just because it speaks doesn't mean you should sleep with it. And before you ask - yes - even fairies or elves to some degree. It's a VERY good thing it's avoidable here.

There is at the bottom of content options / furry preference screen a note from dev stating that those options only affect randomly generated NPC's for now but "will do his best to add reduced furry version of each major NPC as well". I have a feeling it's not something I should hope for.

What I'm trying to say here - if the game would be modable - that lack of depth would quickly become a thing of the past. There are already spells and firearms and crossbows and Molotovs and shields and sniper rifles. Organizing this mix on ages or on areas, giving each area a personality and a theme - along with specific inhabitants for those areas - would turn an above average game into something great, something I'd be happy to contribute monetary or help in modding / development.

Bleah, I'm ranting. Have a nice day, mate. Cheers.

Yeah, the entire game progression is pretty out of wack. Specially once you've played through the game a couple times and you realize you can get to level 50 in like, 15-20 minutes (not using an auto clicker, in which case its more like 5).

I always forget how much time new players can get out of the game lol

You're almost to the end of the current story, yes.

You can make 100% health potions by enchanting the right drinks, btw. It takes 1ap to be back at max HP every round.

We all wish for that.

You mean pick soldier profession, go to "very dangerous" area, explore, hit succubus 3 times, remove it from game, repeat? Not exactly 15-20 minutes, and it's boring.

Well, to my shame I never realized you could use potions IN combat. That makes everything... plain. smh/fml

I suffer from chronic restartitis, ok? I think I restarted the game like 10 times, usually at the point of entering Submission. And I never grinded levels.

There's a perk in the game called "Orgasm Level Drainer" or something like that. Every time someone orgasms during sex, it gives you XP. Being in the dominant role allows you to keep sex going indefinitely, which in turn allows you accumulate orgasms until the desired level. Get that perk, go to the Submission area and defeat imp groups. That's the strategy people use to level up quickly.

As you might have noticed by now, there's hardly any point to cheating because the game is already quite unbalanced by itself and allows you to cheese your way through things if you got the know-how. There's a method to get good money too...

Can make a mod. The question is how to implement it. The fastest, use one line of code to create a new human subrace body. The second way is to change each part of the body separately in the hope that do not need to dye your hair or change the size of the genitals. Third, it will be similar in mechanics to the "Switch character preset" mod. Three implementation options from simple to more voluminous in terms of the number of lines. I'm just talking out loud.

That would be the writers.

I found that porn/smut writers have the most inflated ego, EVER. Furry writers even moreso.
They think their writing is a gift from the gods and anyone who doesn't like their perfect character deserves a million deaths. Because clearly knowing tons of different terms for pussy and cock is the height of literal endevours.
Also, the writers are the ones most likely to throw a hissy fit and threaten to leave a project.

Keyword. SOME.
And even those can be easily explained. Demons can transform their appearance however they want, don't they?
So that leaves pretty much only humans.

While it is true that demons can transform themselves into humans, most have little reason to. Lilith despises humans and so does most of her descendants by proxy. Lyssieth is the only Lilin we know of to be an exception but not even her domain is considered "safe". Many humans chose to transform themselves into anthros to avoid persecution and social stigma.

You may come up with whatever reasoning or excuse you desire, the fact is the lore doesn't back up the idea of a human-centric world in Lilith's Throne. However, if you're willing to cope with a disjointed story (or simply don't care about the story at all, or would rather come up with your own) in favor of gameplay, more power to you. At the end of the day, how you play your game is none of my business.

Since modding is a thing, you could just mod the entire game and change the story to however you see fit. Just don't expect the vanilla game to change much in that regard, or at least not anytime soon.

Despite a furry tag, that was a good adventure, tbh. First experience in text-based… ehm… RPG. Looking forward to next update.
Me too, too bad the next update will be two weeks(or months) late, and consist of 20 bug fixes, 30 new bugs, a new color for your dick, and the ability to fuck noses.

But for real, updates are not frequent, on time, or worth the wait most of the time. it's a real "check every 1/2 a year with low expectations" sort of development.

What a grand and intoxicating innocence.

SHHHHHH!!!

Don't ruin it for them. It's so rare that we see such innocence here.

Oh, no… Don't tell me, that this is a dead project. Well, saddy sad.
Honestly, it's worse than dead. It's like a loved one coma patient "waking up" every 3 months or so to brabble one incoherent sentence. Never getting to the stage that you can finally move on, because theres always that slimmer of irrational hope left that he will fully wake up one day, while still getting disappointed again and again and again...

If we wouldn't have feelings for this game, we wouldn't sit at the bed waiting for the next sentence. We could move on with our lives.
