I absolutely acknowledged that Alicorns are powerful, as well as multiple other races.
I, also, mentioned that I didn't want to bog down my comment with a whole lot of ' well this race or this race or that other race'.

Also, just to note, to become a Gryphon, all you need to do is TF your hair ..... that's it.
No wings. No horns. Just a change of hair style and you are good to go.

I said a few pages ago in response to a question about why people still support the game, that even if everyone were to quit on Innoxia - none of us would have a reasonable alternative to switch to. Every single game I've played in this format has some bullshit baggage attached to it.

"Oh, your character is pansexual and will lose his mind any time he sees a creature with even a single hole or penetration-capable appendage."
"Oh, your character is a gigadegenerate and will cum buckets regardless of how filthy the shit he's being subjected to is."
"Oh, what is this, you're reading a new character's introduction? Here are 3 paragraphs about how cute your character thinks >her dick is and how much he wants to suck it."
"Oh, you wanted some degree of choice over your character's personality? Too bad, here's an insufferable quirk chungus doormat that gushes spaghetti out of every hole in every conversation." (I'm particularly surprised that Innoxia somehow DIDN'T fall into this pitfall, despite most adult games managing to)
"Oh, you just got a forced scene where your character was covered head to toe in jizz and you literally couldn't avoid it at all? Just skip it bro. Just don't read things in a text game bro. Just imagine it didn't happen bro."


For all its flaws, LT remains the only game in this subgenre capable of satisfying my needs. Respect for the player's preferences (sexuality choices, fetish likes/dislikes, proper warnings about upcoming content), a mostly blank-slate protagonist, a rock solid procedural sex system (say what you want about it being repetitive, I still prefer it over pre-written), decent combat, relatively subtle teasing (naughty comments and sultry winks > dick helicoptering and ass spreading), on a conceptual level it's everything I want from an adult sandbox.

There is no competition. And nobody is making any. And neither will you make any. And half a decade later there still won't be any alternatives. And we will still be waiting to fight Lunette and complaining about how slow and lazy Innoxia is, instead of giving our time and/or money to some unsung hero who will swoop in and take us on a marvelous adventure in the world of his original "Levi's Chair" game that has everything LT does + a finished main story and properly developed side features such as procedural personalities and everything else. Admittedly, there's 'Strive: Conquest' which is a good adult sandbox game that will get completed within our lifetimes, but it's not really the same format, since you're less of a micro scale free agent adventurer in there and more of a macro scale bigwig ruler who sometimes gets off his golden throne in his ivory tower to save the day.

It kind of surprises me that for all the supposed tons of modded content and people willing to finish the game for Innoxia, nobody is willing to just stock up on Blackjack and Hookers and make their own game in this format from scratch.

So what I'm getting from this is that LT is great for what it isn't. I guess you're right, there's no competition to a game that doesn't exist.

What are you talking about, game journalists are your people. They're always so concerned with the idea of a game rather than the game itself. Not to mention unconditionally licking the anus of game devs that they have a financial relationship with.

I'd say they don't make mods that expand the story of the game and add new mechanics (like the academy the other guy was talking about) because engine isn't a good engine for modding games. The engine would force you to get all the source code and compile it everytime you wanted to apply a mod to the game, which is why most mods use the mod system the dev purposely coded in.

I'd say they don't come together and make their own game because it's way too difficult to make a game from scratch for a multitude of reasons outside pure dev. And making a LT remake copy would be notably easier but they'd get no pay from it. And the economy is rough nowadays so it just isn't worth it to most people. Especially if the remake would boost the devs visibility (and a lot of people would rather they take credit for their work rather than someone else).

It's coding hell for the dev and it is for the people and that's why they do very small scale stuff. Also Inno's fuckass thing of if you mod the game in any way it apparently is owned by her now iirc how it was. You don't even need to actually submit the shit, just tampering with the game content in any way to add stuff renders it hers. I question why when I learn of actual mods for these text games it's always by someone who wants to shove underaged stuff into it. It feels very needless imo in hindsight.

Try getting a Unicorn horn and wings for the alicorn bonus (no reason to go full furry), grab the upgrades for the ice shard spell and the upgrades for water elemental to boost your ice damage. The first ice shard you cast each turn will cause the next two to crit, and you mana use will be tiny.

Does that still works with the Soldier background or you need another one for better magic?

Definitely more than we have that's for sure. I think the game has a large, underutilized potential in many different directions.
Sifting through many different versions is worth finding a rendition that someone might search for.
Like the EraTohoK based games for example, that game has about a hundred different versions and visions with atleast 2-3 branches each because of the english translations, but I don't mind. It's always interesting to see a new spin on the concept in the same engine.

You have a better attitude than I do about it.
But then all I want is to be able to wedge the perpetually-upcoming fairies into people and have a bigger family unit than Lilaya and whatever kids are produced. Those seem like they would be on entirely different trees, much less branches.
