I think you mixed something up in this case, last Update was in August/late Summer 2024.

According to the OP, the last update was actually in July.

I'm guessing this person's native language isn't English since the question is awkwardly worded. The "next update this year" implies that there has already been one this year... That would, obviously, not be the case since "this year" is only 24 days old...

Last I heard the plan was to drop one for his other game first, and I don't believe that's happened yet.

Yeh my bad 14/07/2024 as Motseer said It just took me that long to get round to playing it.
There's too many games in my list Poor me .
Still in october he paused Patreon for some RL reason don't know why exactly I'm not on his Patreon.
Can't afford it or would be oh well .
But guessing it probably means expecting an update soon is a long shot at best.
Still when it comes to good game's my patience is legendary I have no issue waiting.

Still in october he paused Patreon for some RL reason don't know why exactly I'm not on his Patreon.

I don´t remember there being an IRL issue. IIRC he simply paused the billing since he is currently still working on his other game "Octopussy Island". When he´s finished with that, he´s gonna continue working on Limitless. So it´s possibly going to be a while before we see another update. Dunno how far he is with the other game, since i´m not interested in it.

Hey all, I think I gave a little update on the state of things either earlier on this forum or on OPI forum, but here is the gist of what is going on at the moment.

Once I completed Day 6 of Limitless I was going to be working on the next update of OPI. However my full time job (I do game developing in my spare time) changed significantly... I went from being out on the road, looking mainly after my own day to day works to running the whole business... looking after 10 members of staff and dealing with everything business related on my own, which in turn meant I was dedicating less time of making my games. Instead of being able to spend 4-5 hours an evening working on my game updates, I was lucky to get an hour or two.

Because of this I felt it was morally wrong to have people supporting me on Patreon and SS when I was unable to dedicate the amount of time to game developing I originally did, so I suspended payments for the max time I could. I am still working on the next update of OPI but at a much slower rate. I would say I am over half way through the update, but it could still be a little while until I can dedicate my normally amount of time to it.

My company is moving premises in around a months time, this will enable me to hire another member of staff for the office work, to work along me at which point I will be able to work a normally 10 hour day, rather than the 15, sometimes 16 hour day I have been doing of late.

Man, they really are slavedrivers at your job if you at best can hope to reduce your normal work day to be 10h rather than to 8h. On average person can only focus for 6h before their concetration starts to lapse and their work becomes more error prone.

The issue is the current business office is at my home, so I end up starting at 7am and sometimes finishing a 23:00pm... I have a little break from like 19:00-22:00 to be with family but it's still long hours. Once I'm in the new office away from home with a new staff member I should be a lot better.

Appreciate the update. Lot of devs are bad at ghosting their people. At least you were cool enough to let us know what was up.

You might want to post this on the OPI page too. The site has listed it as "abandon" and some people there were asking about this.

I have mentioned this before further up the page. F95 will automatically place a game on abandoned if no update after a certain period of time or no communication from Dev. Although I have posted in passed the time frame.

As long as the dev post on Patreon/SS they have nothing to worry unless 18months pass or a on-hold tag gets placed.
