If i´m not mistaken he hasn´t even finished working on his Octopussy Island update. (and that´s supposed to be a shorter game than limitless iirc) So don´t count on a update anytime soon.

Yeah they're just super busy. Not abandoned, but iirc they're working some crazy hours.

Either way, this is on hold until he drops his octopussy island updates first. don´t know about the status of that one. My best guess at the current rate would be 1 or 2 years till the next update (and i don´t even mean it in a bad way)

The reason for the abandoned tag is there been no response from dev since Oct 27/28 2024 on Patreon or SS.

I will say a few words of comfort regarding another game that has gone into timelessness.
abandoned or not - plot sit on first solid base - all girls are in one big house.
to some extent, you can thank the author for not abandoning his project completely mid-word somewhere in the middle of the scene.
a kind of shareware version(old-timers will understand me) came out, the gameplay ended after the victory of the first small boss.

Hey all, can only apologies for the time since my last update. As I have mentioned previously my RL work has been manic the last year. Basically I have previously been a tradesman for a small but very busy firm. We had at this time last year 5 members of staff... since then, I have moved to the position of running the company (previous staff member retired) and we have grown to a team of now 11. We also have moved into a new office, of which has been my sole responsibility to sort everything from water/gas/electric services, to computers, printers, organizing other tradesmen to do jobs, on top of the every tasks of running a business.
I myself with my experience on the tools have not only been running the company from an office point of view but also been having to help out on the tools. On top of work, I also have family commitments which has not allowed for me to focus on doing much game developing in my spare time.
I have been working very sporadically on my other game (Octopussy Island) of which I am going to be releasing an update for first as this has been even longer since initial release and then I'll be working back on Limitless. The abandoned tag is due to no update for a long time and no posts on SS and patreon... even though I have posted on here and mentioned the pause in everything.
Just letting you all know its not abandoned, just paused for the moment until OPI update is out. I am starting to get a little more free time now, so am working on the OPI update and then will be moving back to working on Limitless.

Wow....I was just thinking of this VN today and came here to see what was what.....Glad to know that it isn't really gone.....RL comes first....I will have to check out OI.....thanks for not abandoning it.
We know you're working hard, but real life comes first! Love the game, and willing to wait.

So, no, NOT abandoned. You realize that is less than a year ago right?! Being a DIK just updated after over a year plus some.
On this site, a game is not considered abandoned until 18 months.
It may be abandoned for various reasons, but we can't know that at this time. The DEV may have health problems, his house may have burned down or other life problems.

There are 3 ways the "Abandoned" tag gets applied.
1. Dev ask for it.
2. 90 days no contact from the dev on there main site like Patreon or SS.
3. 18 months with no update regardless how active the dev is.
The abandoned tag once applied normally is not removed until an update comes out.
The dev posted literally 3 posts above yours. Very useful to read the thread you're posting in. He explains why the game was "abandoned" and now should be considered "on hold".
I understand why games get placed as abandoned.. what I never understood is why F95 would then consider Patreon or SS activity more important than their own site. I would consider F95 my main site for my game rather than Patreon or SS.
