I haven't played this game in so long I almost forgot about it. I kept waiting for the renpy version as I rarely have the patience for an rpgm game unles real rpg and fighting is needed for the gameplay.
Does anyone have any idea if a new version in renpy will come out? If there's no chance of that I could just suck it up and play it.

so i tried to do the insert saves as it was described. it does not work with my windows and im lost on what to do? and yes, i read every post that told me how and i do not have the folder "appdata" where it should be in the step by step, so suggestions???

Hmm perhaps, they really need to consider putting some FAQs in the main post:

• Like where to find saves
• Like when is the Renpy version getting updated
• Like why is Paul no longer in the game
• Like when the party will be over
• Like why is Rancor a feckless cunt

Okay, maybe not the last one(even though it's a fact), but still. Some frequently asked questions answered there would be cool. That way we can at least tell folks to read the first post instead of typing the same thing over and over again.

The party event is 2 or more updates away from finishing...

To be fair, the Party has been going on for what feels like years now... and some of us are still waiting patiently/impatiently rather than playing the RPGM version.

It was also already said 3 or 4 times in the last week people asking about the Ren'Py version, exact same question and people have answered the same way.

It's still going to be years, as there probably won't be another update this year.

Also, the Ren'Py version is currently the uncensored one, so when that updates, it will get the vanilla treatment and will not be the same game.

The Paul path got quite brutal and had to be removed.
As I understand it, Paul no longer appears in the game.

A few things got removed, from my memory some white knight reported the dev, not only to Patreon but something or someone in their country as depiction of such content is illegal.

Not a "white knight" an asshole who hated female mc games. He posted a report just to try to destroy the game. Simply because the game had a female main pc. I doubt he actually cared about the the rape scenes.

What do you mean by the vanilla treatment?

In short, the RPGM version is the one with the most recent content and is maintained by the dev himself.
The RENPY version is maintained by a modder. It currently trails the RPGM version when it comes to content and is scheduled for update once the party content is fully implemented in the RPGM version.

When that happens, RENPY version will essentially mirror all the latest updates, including the removal of the rapey and incesty stuff like Paul, Bar drunk, Aoife rape etc. Hence the term "vanilla".

Also on a side note for people who keep expecting a patch to restore these contents:

• RPGM is not like RENPY where you drop one file in game folder and magically everything gets added/restored. The changes have been made at a grassroot level so the dev can avoid legal troubles. Best hope for something like this AFTER the game is finished, and even then drop expectations for an official patch. PaleGrass's troubles are not just from Patreon/Mega but his own country whose laws prohibit him from pursuing such dark themes.
• Even if the RENPY modder manages to patch back old content after updating(which btw is near unlikely), you need to remember that the game is a WIP. All the cut content was incomplete and without the rest of the CGs and stories from PG, it's gonna be just that: A frankensteined storyline going absolutely nowhere.

It'd be ideal to make peace with the fact that the content is not returning. Not anytime soon anyway if there even was a hope. The priority right now is to get the game back on track. The party was supposed to be finished by February 2024, and yet it's August and Pale is still not free from it.

This is a dead game next update will be in about 4-5 years so enjoy this one really slowly.
