You can't have it both ways. You can't be here consuming pirated content and then act morally superior because some people pirated it faster than you would have liked. We are all 'hooligans' here by definition. If the game is good, people will play it, regardless of when the link drops.

I support some devs even if i can find it for free here. Because YES, people pay when they really like it.
Some people complain about early leak, but forget that F95 gives a lot of visibility and also helps a lot with new versions testing, PG had nearly no feedback on his patreon for his episode 1. I would have never heard about the devs i support without F95. It's not luck that brings some devs here, they know that leaks is a price to pay to grab more suscribers and start a solid community of free testers that will even help giving ideas on development.
People who don't support devs, won't support even if they must wait 2 weeks. No one pay just to have 2/3 sex scenes earlier or just some cosmetic rework, people pay because they support and want to participate to the "life" of the game.

The instant you make use of the magic plagiarism-slurry dispensing black box (Gen-AI), you forfeit any and all rights to authorial intent, copyright protection, creative integrity, or basic human decency. Everyone has the right, if not obligation, to steal and/or pirate any product borne of such tainted origins. What goes around, does indeed come around.
I only bring this up as someone said the game now has Gen-AI animations, and if so, this project and it's 'creator' can get bent.
TL;DR - I hate Gen-AI, but if there is anything you can be 100% justified in stealing, it's that slop.

It's literally less than 1% of the game, and they are actually some of the best AI animations I have seen in a game. I'm all for rallying against lazy and badly implemented AI but when it fits and is has obviously had the time put into it to make it look right I have no issues with it. This is not some AI phone game slop so wind yer neck in.
That and it is completely optional. You can choose to activate or deactivate it in the options and it´s only there for exactly one scene at the moment.
If deactivated you still get the scene as stills like before and those stills are STILL handmade.
Pale is not charging extra for it and as you said from what I´ve seen to this date these are indeed some of the best made AI animations out there especially if you consider he is still learning on how to use it.
Generative AI is a tool that will not go away, but I´d rather have a creator who uses it like in this case than the sheer amount of AI Slop games we have right now, where you can literally see that the characters came from the same template.
Pale was also pretty transparent about his curiosity to try it out so we already knew this since at least the end of september.
And again, these animations are just an "optional" bonus that you can completely ignore. Even if he would do animations for all the scenes, you have the "option" to ignore them.

I do think that PG made a fundamental mistake by sharing the alpha version of the game. That version should only be available to a controlled group of play testers. Games in an alpha/beta stage should not be distributed among the payed supporters, especially if you don't want to risk an unfinished and unpolished product being leaked the broad audience.

But support for a developer can come in a variety of different shapes and forms though, not only financially. You can also support a developer by giving constructive feedback, spreading the word to increase visibility of the product or even by improving the game by modding or creating tools. That's probably one of the reasons why this site is being tolerated by a lot of developers, because this type of information can be valuable for them as well.
So no, you cannot conclude that the non-paying supporters are frauds.
