Sure the tech aint quite there yet for what we have in the VN- but it isn't a huge leap of science to go from not being able to do it to being able to do it- and it requires very little suspension of disbelief.

I honestly don't get the point of your arguments. Most of them just seems to stem from your general discomfort with the image of someones dick being snipped off. It has made you so uncomfortable that even though it *was not part of the actual sex scene* you carried that baggage with out all the way to the sex scene and let it ruin your experience. Which, fair point if you are squeamish I guess. I personally found it very simple to compartmentalize the two parts into what they were.

Honestly, I thought for a long bit about if the Dev maybe *should* have had some of that trauma of the snip-snip parallel in the actual scene and have Foxy help him get through it. In the end I thought the dev did it relatively well regardless.

It destroys the immersion for me too. You don't just 'reconstruct' a complete cut off dick ... and even if you try, nerves don't just grow as if they knew what they are for. They can reconnect and regenerate, but whatever is used as transplant (unless it's a Frankenstein-dick from a donor) won't have nearly as many nerve endings as a real one. So probably forget about nutting without some help (electro stimulation or something like that).
Solution would be so simple: just have them mutilate MCs dick, stick a knife through, slice it.. whatever. Plenty of discomfort coming from that but much more believable to have that reconstructed.

To me thats one point that takes this game from full 5 stars down to 4 atm. I really like it but i just value immersion too much, at least in stories that 'try' to be believable.

Also, there's a lot of research happening in penile prosthetics. While it mostly currently aimed at ED, it's certainly possible a shift toward something like this (especially with the massive spike in trans people) could happen.

I do aim for realism, and I am not opposed to amending the wording.
That comment also was not meant to be a medically correct more the MC blurting out what happened.

I have a flashback event on the back burner that goes into details, like one ball survived.
Still undecided if I use that flashback or something else to go a bit deeper.

Right- you've well summed up the limitations of how current science cannot overcome nerve damage- but there are millions of things humans couldn't *do* before that we can do now. It really isn't *that* hard to believe our medical tech could grow into being able to do that.

Regardless, it is a VN, not a work of non-fiction. It doesn't need perfect immersion and honestly, it really feels like you are cherry picking something to have an issue with since you like a lot of titles that are about as immersive as sock puppet plays.



I don't mean to put words in your mouth; maybe the games you love also don't pass your bar for immersion...but it looks like malarkey to be worried about hyper immersive science when you like a lot of titles in which the relationships and scenarios are soOOoooooO incredibly porny and unbelievable. Hell, even in LR itself I think there are things that are more immersion breaking than the dick surgery. A lot of time a lil immersion breakage is the price you pay as buy in to get your plots. Such as every girl in WVM being a set of three holes with almost incidental personalities just waiting around the school to be fucked and get sweet kisses by a milquetoast boring AF basketball star protagonist. It isn't even a little bit believable or immersive- but tons of ppl still like it for some reason.

We're already seeing signs of limb generation/regeneration with stem cell research, and who knows what's going on under the veil in government facilities. It's likely already possible to do this, just not for public consumption.

But either way, this is fiction. In fiction, you're expected to have a level of suspension to your disbelief. If you really want to immerse yourself in reality (not something you're looking to actually do, seeing your list of games), then stop playing porn games/VNs and watch a fucking a documentary.

I am not gonna deny that it's just my personal preference .. and that it is scewed in a certain way. I don't care all that much about realism especially in the purely 'feel-good'-games (i should have clarified that earlier). But when it gets dark, towards horror/psycho territory, i just can't deal with unbelievable things, at least if it's not meant to be over the top as a whole ... i wan't Misery(the movie)-level shit cause Jason, Pennywise and Freddy bore me to death.
