Hmm, a "compact" might be a Commander, but yeah a few smaller models exist. Kimber and Springfield both make little snubby ones. Probably a bunch of others too.Aren't there modern 1911 look a likes with modern mechanisms?
I think a guy I gamed with years ago had a 1911 style gun and a 1911 style compact gun for his wife.
We were, but it seems we switched over to the MC at some point.Wait, who are we even talking about anymore? I thought we were talking about whoever was pointing a gun at AKA?
Pretty sure it was the Canooks...We were, but it seems we switched over to the MC at some point.
I blame the French. I'm sure they're somehow responsible.
aren't they always?I blame the French. I'm sure they're somehow responsible.
Nah, the French heard there might be a dispute and surrendered already (they're just standing around with their hands up waiting for someone to show up). Austria maybe. They always seem to start shit.We were, but it seems we switched over to the MC at some point.

They DO come in a French flavor...Pretty sure it was the Canooks...
She'd need one of the gaudy gold plated ones for extra effect. If you really wanna get sexy about it. In the next mission prep have Foxy come struttin' out thinkin' she's gonna get away with packin' a .50 Desert Eagle. That could be some interesting dialogue...![]()
Wasn't us. If we get involved in things the Geneva Checklist gets longer. They DO come in a French flavor...
(you'll notice I said "They" - I do my best not to be associated with them)![]()
She looks like she's not much bigger than foxy. I'm actually surprised she could hang on to it through the recoil at all! They DO come in a French flavor...

"Foxy, that thing weighs more than you do. Can you even reach the trigger?"
Either way, I don't know if it would end well.
I'm honestly not sure how that woman managed that unless it was her first time shooting a handgun, period. Actually now that I think about it, it may well have been. The guy must have anticipated this kind of thing which is why he only loaded 1 round.
Eh, the recoil on the eagle isn't that bad to be honest. LOTS of muzzle flash, though. But yeah, it's really not a beginner gun. Or a poor person gun.She looks like she's not much bigger than foxy. I'm actually surprised she could hang on to it through the recoil at all!
They don't call them hand cannons for nothing...
Haha, tell that to the girl in the video. You're right about the recoil, but it's a very large pistol with a large hand grip and distance to the trigger. Itty bitty girls don't have much of a grip on it to start with...Eh, the recoil on the eagle isn't that bad to be honest. LOTS of muzzle flash, though. But yeah, it's really not a beginner gun. *Bang!*
"There goes $5"
*Bang!*
"There's another $5..."
man tell me about it. I like shooting but the only place I can do it legally is the gun ranges where I live... the prices are outrageous. And actually owning a firearm is really complicatedYou're right about the price of ammo too, and not just .50 cal. That's why I learned to reload almost 40 years ago. I've still got so many people who bring me their brass that I pretty much have as much ammo as I need, and don't pay for any of it.
Yep, but never give it up, man! Buy yourself a simple reloading kit. They aren't that expensive. There are all kinds of great vids on how to reload. Save your brass and learn to reload. You'll find yourself shooting more and spending a LOT less.man tell me about it. I like shooting but the only place I can do it legally is the gun ranges where I live... the prices are outrageous. if I owned one sure... but as I said, in my country they are heavily regulated. If you're not a cop or a hunter etc chances are you're not getting a license to carry one. I did a mandatory military stint in my youth and did sports shooting competitively in school, so I'm no stranger to guns, but that was decades ago. These days my only option is gun ranges as I said with rented guns etc.Yep, but never give it up, man! Buy yourself a simple reloading kit. They aren't that expensive. Wow, that's sobering. It's too easy to forget how precious the 2nd amendment is in the US. It's also too easy to forget that most everybody else doesn't have that...if I owned one sure... but as I said, in my country they are heavily regulated. I sure do miss shooting at shit, been like more than a year since I last went to a range to blow off some steamWow, that's sobering. It's too easy to forget how precious the 2nd amendment is in the US. It's also too easy to forget that most everybody else doesn't have that...
Ah yes, the 2nd amendment. I wish we had that here in the Un-United Socialist Soviet Republic of Cana-Duh-Stan.Wow, that's sobering. It's too easy to forget how precious the 2nd amendment is in the US. It's also too easy to forget that most everybody else doesn't have that...
Most places are not that bad. In Canada just about anyone can get a gun, some of the types are regulated and there's more paperwork but we have roughly 1 (civilian) gun per person. It's a country with a population the size of California's and a land mass 133% the size of the entire US. In most of the country people go armed - just not in urban areas, or at least they're not supposed to. There's some country in Europe, don't remember where - where the entire population has military weapons. Mandatory service, and then basically the entire country is the reserves and takes their weapons home with them (+ annual training) but their murder rate is almost zero.Wow, that's sobering.
