I would've suggested you do it like other developers who release preview renders while developing and see the responses of others and whether they also think it is "not good enough" or do they love it?
Then you could've received positive reinforcement and maybe continued developing.

her eyes are a bit flat. try adding the eye moisture and cornea textures to give a bit more life to the eyes.
