The old version isn't canon anymore. Play the new version. I mean, You can play both, but there are changes, new MC is less creepy. And changes to mom are as you can see big.
He's still acting like a horny jerk, all he thinks about are her boobs. He doesn't care about her, her problems, or her fears, and he doesn't try to support her emotionally, he just wants to fuck her.

well yeah that is the end result
(whole point) only now it will be reset back to square one with the "REMAKE" maybe dev is doing it ass backwards where MC fucks her first then starts to care about her later on i dunno either way i can over look all that if we are bypassing all that in order to speed up the fucking then sure otherwise it is pointless to have MC emotionally detached . but then again regardless it feels like a slow burn ether way
