then I'll concede but still no to buffing vile scepter, instead nerf everything else, vile scepter is already good as it is, no need to make everything OP that you could steamroll the game with one spell.
It's not about having a skill that lets you steamroll the game, it's about having a set of tools that opens up different kind of strategies and situations.
Do you know why I keep playing this game despite the fact that my Lona is basically a goddess who can one tap pretty much everything? Because this game has mechanics that aren't simply limited to combat, it extends to the way a NPC behaves, and experimenting with it is my favorite hobby. I'm roleplaying Lona as some goddess of discord who loves to see people like citizens, soldiers and such fight each other. Acting as an instigator or spectator is more fun to me than mass killing mobs.
Now let me tell you another reason why I'm so harsh on Vile Scepter outside of its garbage battle efficiency. It's because it doesn't bring anything interesting utility wise. Take Malicious Spore from Abomination Totem for example, it's not good for battle, but it's very efficient in sneakily killing some NPC thanks to the pool of blood it creates, which allowed me to do certain things that I normally can't do, like I've shown in that video where Lona robs the bank. Vile Scepter has nothing in it that allows me to create any interesting situation, it's completely devoid of any substance.
I'm not asking for Vile Scepter to have its damage contribution buffed to high end, all I'm asking is give it a skill that allows me to create some unique and interesting situations that aren't necessarily limited to combat. Take that upcoming item that Eccma has yet to fully make for example, the item that lets you control the mind of some NPC. This is the type of item that catches my attention the most because it lets me mess around with the AI of different NPCs.
