It has been pretty much confirmed we will be moving Brooke, Angie and Shithead to Berdoo in C2. Should we try to hire Geraldine(bartender in PoDunk, Ks), Sasha(phone girl) or anyone else before wishing them safety from the coming tornados?
Also do we see if Spike is in contact with others from our unit?

LRH Ep 10 Part 4 Progress Update 03/01/2025

Here’s a quick progress update for part 4 (Leelee bike date)

165 still images
22 Animations/loops (2,000+ animation slides)
800+ lines of code and text
2 events

Overview,

This is a relatively small uncomplicated event. I don’t have an idea of what the image total will be yet for the event. There are not any more animations planned to be added.

I've been enjoying the game, but I do have a worry that there are too many paths and they are too detailed that forward progression might feel far too slow. Great game for sure, but I wonder if some sort of reasonable trimming could be done to balance the pacing. I'm scared that the continuation of the Rachel/Nora/Sarah path is going to be around 2027 because there are so many other paths on the backlog.

I always planned for this to be a big story with a lot of twists to it. I wanted to put something out there that isn't like or done the same way as everything else. Sure, I could easily just string together quick fuckfest events, but I don't care to, and I don't think most would enjoy it.

Balance the pacing compared to who? For a one-person operation, I'd put my content output up against anyone out there. I've seen many popular AVN's that take six months to a year to put out a 200-image update.

It will always feel slow when you are playing a game as it is being developed. It won't feel that way when you are playing the completed story.

If I trimmed all the parts of the story you don't care for, there'd be just as many people that wouldn't want them trimmed. I can't think of any part of the story I would want to get rid of or hollow out anyway.

How many stories have you seen with rushed or poorly done endings? How many are that way due to people pushing the dev to hurry up and finish the story? :unsure:

The bottom line is, I'm doing this for my enjoyment, and I don't want to compromise my vision of how the story plays out in an effort to rush to a conclusion.

This project is kind of like riding cross country to Sturgis, Daytona or any other big bike rally. Sure, it's always a hell of a party once you get there. But every big ride I've been on, we mostly remember, talk and laugh about all the crazy shit that happened on the road getting there. :cool:

This is just for discussion purpose and to further explain my previous point. This is not to argue with you because I always believe in "it's up to the dev however they want to make their game". One thing to note here is just because I feel the game is "too big", it doesn't mean that what I want is the complete opposite of "quick fuckfest events".

Balanced pacing is not compared to other devs, it's in comparison to your own production output. I am not asking you to make more renders quicker. Let's say you have 1k renders for 1 update. Obviously that's a lot of renders. But what do the 1k renders do? There is a difference in plot progression when you compare:
1. 1k renders for 1 path.
2. 1k renders for 2 paths of 500 renders each.
3. 1k renders for 4 paths of 250 renders each.

This is a game that clearly has TONS of paths because there are TONS of girls (and you're still adding more too). I am concerned about pacing because I feel like each path update is "too detailed" when compared to the number of paths available in the game. Using the last update paths for Rin and Rachel as an example, I feel like around similar number of total renders for both of them could've been used for 3 paths instead without losing too much detail on Rin/Rachel paths.

The bottom line is, I'm doing this for my enjoyment, and I don't want to compromise my vision of how the story plays out in an effort to rush to a conclusion.
Just to reiterate, I'm not asking you to produce more render or to cut meaningful content to rush the conclusion. I'm simply questioning the importance of having that much detail when compared to the number of paths available. I appreciate that the experience of playing a game in development is different than when the game is finished. But on the flip side, do we even know the expected year of completion for the game? It has been 5 years since initial release and I am expecting around another 5 years to go based on the existing content. This is not to say you're too slow or anything like that, but this is to say that the vast majority of the gaming experience will be in the "in development" phase.

Ultimately though, it's 100% up to you. This is just my comment based on what I think about the game. If there is anything from my comment that you thought could be useful, then great. If there is nothing, feel free to ignore everything. Obviously you're doing something right to have this much support and winning AVN Award. Keep up the good work and all the very best.

It is more 1k render for 1 path, 0 renders for the rest. As most pathing that is gooing on is if(char == LI); then ....; fi. The game has not much other pathing, that I know. A few game over are in there and a few flavours to some scene, but the rest is a pretty unpathed story. There is only one path in their that is confirmed to have an bigger effect.
I don't how much all the possible LI will have an effect on the story, but I assume very little. Possible exception may be Racheal with her family.

Yet, it all depends on Dima and how he handle it. As example the Rin date with the onsen. At the end of it we know we have a bloodhound on Rin's tail thank to Eito.
The question is how Dima will do the story if we never have gone to the onsen with Rin. He could make a complete different story for Rin, were she isn't tracked down to Ryker and the Fox Bot (my guess) or he can make a story that the Yakuza get some info from a client of the Fox Bot about a girl that looks like her and then the two path ends up in one again.
It is all up to Dima how much of work he like to have and how much of flag, if/else or switch/case shamble he like to have. Given his a vet, perhaps he like it more than I would give him credist for.:whistle:

Not going to happen in the first chapter 1 or even 2 of the game. She is Leelee little sis and not yet old enough. I'm sure once she is Leelee will happily introduce her to her boyfriend.
I wasn‘t even talking about instant H scenes. Like with other LI‘s i would be fine with a slow buildup. Like, let her see how happy her sister is with the MC, introduce her to Angel during a Rouge BBQ or stuff like that where she learns that MC got several Girlfriends/old Ladies etc. I’m pretty sure Dima can create something interesting with her character like he did with Angel, one of my favorites:):love:

Not to mention that just showing her in the game could make it difficult if Dima ever wanna publish the game on steam.
