Both PC and Android versions have a "Check for updates" button on the main menu. This will allow you to download update-only files for future releases without having to download the whole game again.

For the Android version, the link in the downloads is actually to a downloader game. Once you've used it to install the main game, you'll never need to download it again. Just use the "Check for updates" button on the main menu. This was implemented to circumvent Android's 2GB limit.

Using unren on the game seems to break the UI and possibly other things. Not really sure why. If you want to snoop through the code, just make a copy of the game folder and unren there.

The .apk is a downloader game that downloads the main game. I have it installed on my own phone with no issues:

Perhaps try uninstalling and downloading from a different link. Just to verify, I uninstalled and downloaded from the Gofile link and the game continues to work.

I would not expect it to work with Joiplay since it's just a downloader game. It downloads the games files and then opens the main game. How Ren'Py handles that, I'm not sure.

I do not know what Android does with apk installations or if it's even possible to add translations to after installing. The only folder I know of is for the Ren'Py saves for the game which is /Android/data/com.getoutofmylab.lss/
