It was the developer who decided to give us the option to NOT date Ann. The Ann hate path is or was very much a thing. Where you could previously pursue other girls instead, including trying to steal Vanessa from Joe.
This last update tossed all of that out of the window with the Ann and Alex threesome scene. You are given the choice of fuck Ann or end the whole thing, which is just fucking awkward at that point.

Don't think the update tossed it out. Just brought it back to the front. I mean at points through that whole path. Ann spent more than a few times trying to make us jealous like an obsessive bitter ex. Even Vanessa notices and mentions it. Which was always weird as hell considering you turn her down before you really know her. Dev even kept the scene in where we could compliment her outfit for some reason. Which I'm sure is before we make amends with her..... against my will. Including the motel one where she gets double stuffed shortly after. Still wondering where the skip for that shit was though. Since it was mentioned in the update!!! Was hoping for something like that for a while now! Would've been nice to figure it out before I just finally said fuck it! and powered through.

Only thing I'm surprised about was it taking this long to happen. It heavily looks like the dev wants you to pick Ann.

Yeah, at quite a few moments it seems that either the Ann Hate path was something the dev hastily put in for people who didn't want either solo her or shared/cheat path, or that he regrets putting it in/was out of ideas for that path.

I can't speak to the cinema thing. But with the other situation, I remember the MC saying he was going to wait to see if she brought it up. And he also later references internally when they sit and have the dating other girls talk. Then a bunch of shit happened so I can understand it not coming up. Update wasn't all that long. So I wouldn't be sounding the alarm bells just yet.... at least with that one.

I'm more so worried it will suck, whenever and whatever happens. Ann looks to be the star basketball player of this team. And seems to be immune to get shit talked. I mean her whole Chris route she was an absolute
