Which would probably lead to one of two courses of action.

1.) Stop trying to add in new mechanics and just focus on building out content using the existing mechanics.
2.) Start over and try to implement it in a better way for the existing and planned mechanics.
3/ Change development tool and start a new game.

Hacking their social media, grades, spy cams, reverting back to previous ATs with new stars, new optional starts, every time he adds some new statistic in the later ATs that you need to find a way to manipulate in order to progress through the AT, etc...
Ah okay, yea. That's true. Some of them I could see being borderline but it doesn't really change the fact it's yet another thing to account for that might break things. I also think there were some tweaks done to one of the original starts which ... ended up making months of writing out my own guide a complete waste of time. If it's QoL features, I'm all for it. But I guess constantly adding new gameplay features does take its toll on actual content that could've been done instead: scenes, new ATs, etc.

Still, I think new locations would be a way to create more scenes naturally instead of just being at the family's house all the time. Always feels like that's the next progression for these kinds of sandbox games.

And while I don't have the time or motivation to go find the direct quote, the reason the developer gave for abandoning his other game, superpowered, in favor of soft rebooting with the sequel, superpowered 2, was that it was getting to be too much effort to create new content in superpowered after all the stuff he had added to it over the years.

And don't forget that version of superpowered was already a rework of a previous version of superpowered that was in RAGS and abandoned in favor of a new engine.
Didn't know most of that. I knew Superpowered 2 was a thing but never knew what the deal was with the first one or that the one I played was a rework from RAGS. Definitely makes me less confident if the issue was creating new content.

His track record with what occurred with his previous games combined with the last few updates for Loser doesn't leave me optimistic. That said, it is still a great game as it is. But there are still some things I want to see happen in it, so I would be saddened if it was abandoned before they got added
Yea at the end of the day, it's still pretty damn unique (both in gameplay and grind). Even after all this time and probably a lot more waiting, it's still worth checking in on because of the sheer potential. I agree, it feels like the ATs and content only scratch the surface relative to the amount of gameplay features. It'd be nice to see the game one day if it ever gets to that level.

Jesse is ... yea. More of that. Like a lot more.

When I go to open the game it takes forever to actually come up, and in the process, it freezes my entire computer. I've tried it a few times now but the problem just won't go away. Is that just something that's happening on my end or is it a problem with the game itsefl?

For anyone interested Baal was active on f95 in the last few days, he's not simply vaporised, he's just on radio silence for some reason, most likely something major. IMO it could be prototyping a new project, a negative health event or something like that.

The game is really grindy than it should be even taken account into the scope. I maybe unoptimized in my first 10 hours on my first playthrough, but its a bit much if I couldnt get anything out of and went nowhere from it.

Quite mechanically complex and diverse. The scope is big and overwhelming, while having more stuffs to juggle isnt necessary and bad thin since you have more stuffs to play with, at the moment everything is large at an ocean and shallow as the puddle, makes sense since game is in alpha and takes awhile to work kinks out

Quite it's all still in Alpha 0.1ish, what is concerning is this alpha has been going on for quite sometimes, namely 4 years, which is a red flag given how their previous games ended up, a shame really.
