I sank another 10 hours into the game, another around the same amount of time for another title still in active development - Superpower 2, by active I mean it isnt declared no longer developed.
All the time spent was too look for that "Superpowered 1" which I actually did enjoy and looking forward for more, which abandoned for these 2 that I cant bring myself to find some positivity to get on and continue.
Reviewing the game again I have to cut back what I said earlier on "mechanically complex and diverse" and the feel of overwhelmed, that was only there for the first hours of playthrough. After that when you've figured out this and that and realized this and that and find out "large as an ocean and deep as a puddle" every mechanic there for you to juggle and manage, isnt that complex but underdone and there nothing more to it, and will be nothing more to it as you expand and progress with the game, the disappointing underwhelmed "Is that all?" feel.
There're few games where I would see the UI as a good concern and this is one of them, along with Superpowered 2, They're more bloated than a factory Windows 11 and just as mazed and unresponsive, if not anything but add to the illusion and pretentiousness of complexity and having more to offer.
Everyone been ranting about the repetitiveness and grind already, so I'm just confirming that. Yes Superpower 1 was grindy too I cant defend that, but it is rewarding and has a set objective to optimize toward, not so with Loser where you wander aimlessly, at the moment.
Not continuing with Superpowered 1 isnt necessary a mistake, but it is because devs lost their vision on these next games.
