Initial thoughts from someone who didn't play the old/previous version:
• as a demo/proof of concept I'm not mad at this, could be interesting.
• I don't mind the AI art, looks above average.
• the art style in the videos look completely different from the cgs/sprites which breaks immersion. The video style looks pretty terrible imho.
• from what I read the MC used to have a bf, too bad they changed that since that would be a possible point tension.
• with so many attractive female npcs it would have been more interesting to play as a male protag...

The videos are the biggest work in progress, none of us had any prior experience in animation work so we are pretty much learning it as we do it. We thought it would be something interesting to add and we hope to improve them soon.
The ex bf is still relevant for the future but we moved the order of some plot points.

Edit: There is clearly going to be lesbian content/paths. I guess it's just too early to slap a tag up.

Edit: Is the content supposed to end after the unexpected package the morning after the party? It just went back to the menu without any warning and didn't let me save...i'm going to have to start over...and it seems weird that the content would be over because apparently the game is about Rose and Roman...whom i haven't even met yet.

There is and there will be lesbian content but as of now we didn't think it had enough presence and it's missable so we thought maybe we could wait to put the tag in and not have people waiting for it as a main interest.

Using Gen-AI is like plagiarizing your work in school. Even if it's only the bibliography page, once it's found out that you didn't do the work yourself that you're claiming credit for, everything else is suspect. It's why plagiarism is so verboten. It will get you kicked out of higher education. Do you want to be seen by a physician who didn't do their own work and faked their doctoral thesis? No. No you do not, and anyone who says otherwise is a liar or suicidal.

When you see Gen-AI, your response should not be 'Oh, well at least they're doing all of the other work.' Rather it should be 'What else are they offloading onto the magic plagiarism black-box and trying to take credit for?'

The magic box was used to help with the art workload since the budget and time available is not great. Also the box is using our designs. Jokes aside, we are trying our best to use it as a tool and not as replacement. And I don't really know if there's any way to prove it but everything else is completly man made. I have posted more about it in another comment that should be before this post?

Guys, the original story and hand drawn art is gone, this game is remastered. Im glad that FMC doesn't have boyfriend like in the original because no dumb cheating and we are free to choose love interests.

The original story hasn't gone away, we took some things out that's true and we moved some others around but still there. The story we'd like to tell is exactly the same one. The hand drawn art is not gone either, we do use extra help to try to move forward but at the end of the day all the designs are original.

Game just exits after she receives the "gift" the morning after the party. OP description said there was sexual content...there is not. I've played it through twice now with different choices and different games at the party and it ended up the same...no sexy time of any kind.

The chapter ends after the gift but the exit part is deffinetly a bug, we'll look into it. The first chapter does not have explicit sex in any path. There's been an issue with the OG post and I'll have it fixed it soon

It's not really a makeover so much as a completely different game with the same name.

When I glanced through the old discord I could see that the original creators had their accounts deleted and the last time any kind of community outreach had been attempted was in 2023.

I'm fairly certain the original team just realised making a game like this and maintaining a community were larger tasks than they were able to maintain by themselves, so they sold off the small following they had accumulated. Perhaps the old team split up, perhaps they decided to try their hand at something else. In a way this is kind of similar to how some people will farm karme with reddit accounts or get a youtube channel to 1000 subscribers before selling it off to some media company elsewhere in the world.

We are not a different, and deffinetly we haven't sold out... We had to put the project on hold due to not properly understanding the necessary effort that our idea needed. I've talked more about it in my first comment of the chain.

So, bottom line, just do your thing and best of luck. Can I ask about future tags like prostitution, pregnancy, incest and NTR? You could make some of these optional for the weak of hearts out there.

but the fact that everything is so inconsistent makes it even worse, the characters have one style, then the cgs have another, and then the videos that end up being creepy have several different styles.

if they're going to use ai to cut costs, at least it would be nice to train a model properly to avoid having so many inconsistencies.

AI is not necessarily a bad thing in all circumstances, especially if it's used as a tool rather than a crutch or theft.

It sounds as though the Lost Elite team is attempting to use AI genuinely rather than to employ it fraudulently. Let's give them a chance before we jump to judgments.

Sorry dude, I don't believe you. Largely for the same reasons that I wouldn't trust any excuse given if I was a teacher who caught my student plagiarizing their work; even if it was something as 'trivial' as the source page of a report. Once you've crossed the mental line and justified to yourself why you are the special little snowflake, that you deserve special exception, and it's okay for you personally to profit from the stolen work of countless other artists? At that point, I have zero reason to trust anything you say, let alone buy any self-serving justification you might offer. You're already using the magic plagiarism box, I have ZERO reason to trust when you claim that you coded it, or wrote the script, or only trained the model from your own work. Yeah, I don't buy it; and anyone's who does suffers from a crippling lack of skepticism.

Yeah, game dev is hard; same as anything else worth doing tends to be. But I have 1,000% more respect for the person raw-dogging MS Paint doodles for art assets than I am anyone phoning it in with Gen-AI. The MS Paint doodles might look like shit, but there is a level of honesty, ownership, pride, and authenticity to putting that work out there and owning it for what it is. It represents a level of artistic integrity that hacks taking the easy way out with Gen-AI will never understand. But grifters don't want to use the MS Paint doodles, because they're more interested in having something they can sell to horney normies with undiscerning tastes, rather than any desire to put real effort into something original or of their own volition. If you genuinely cared about 'your work', then you would make sure it is actually your work, and wouldn't risk poisoning the well by introducing the doubt fostered with Gen-AI.

But you didn't, and that tells me really all I needed to know...

In some paths there probably will be some incest themes, but it won´t be heavily featured as of now.

It's the same story base in both versions so the new version it's the deffinitive one. Also to be clear, there will be paths that we call jokingly "pacifist" that will be straight up vanilla and the mystery and thriller will be the main themes. So if you aren't interested in heavy kinks you won't have any problem at all.
