I just started the game and I agree with you. I wonder why there is no selection in the preferences menu
Simple - Steam and Patreon. Don't you dare to give people choices they go completely gaga mental over...
You can try the Winchest patches, but I have not tried the latest one (to be honest - I lost interest in this VN when the mother changed in that stupid Landlady and all the other connected character relation downgrades). In the past the quality of those patches where not great (to put it mildly), so I wish you loads of luck. Maybe I try the latest one later this year, but for now I rather have the original in stead of this spin-off.

This is one of my favorites but I do have some criticisms.
One there's not enough choices and there's really no major consequences to our hero
But the writing is decent for the most part
I just wish there was a little more Jeopardy after all he's in a relationship was his entire family and most of the company he works for.
The other thing I don't like as I've said before is the use of landlord and landlord when they're actually mom and dad
But it's a decent read for the most part
I'm on Windows and I tried the patch it didn't work

First, there's NO choices: It's a kinetic novel.
Second, 95% of the conflict is resolved almost immediately, you're right about that.
Third ... patch worked for me ... try searching for jun1or72, if the OP patch isn't updated he tends to post one eventually. If you already found the latest one of those and it still doesn't work, maybe try a fresh install then adding the patch? I'm just throwing darts at this point though.

Right-click on the script.rpy file, and then choose "save as" and don't change anything in the name. Then copy the file into the game folder. And that's it...
Last update 1 1/2 months ago. So must be pretty abandoned.

one time on discord, this dev told me that MNF's dev made the game from the stories he told to the MNF's developer, and the game itself is an embellished autobiography, i don't have the logs anymore but i remember this vividly.

For me, is really similar but with a really bad writing, i have not played this one in a long time but there was a lot of things that i really hated, is like the "we have mnf at home" meme.

Is taste, some people like boring stuff (me) some people need some spice, i can say that i really loved every single moment of mnf, and cannot wait when the second version arrive.

So after the BS insults and harassment I just went through on their Discord from one of the "Co-Creators (the title they have on the server)", I think I might just drop this game completely. Definitely never going to support it financially. All I did was ask how many chapters were currently out for Part 2, and along with them bullying me in text (which is against the rules THEY set), they also straight up gave me the middle finger using one of the servers emotes. So yeah, might just drop this.
