Honestly I am not sure cliffhangers are a great idea for this sort of development model.
Cliffhangers work great in the short term because they make you eager to see the next episode. But if you leave people waiting for too long all that anticipation eventually turns into frustration and anger and finally disengagement as people stop wanting to engage with you because it is a way to avoid thinking about the wait that is making them frustrated.
That is why they work well for things like TV shows where the next one is only a week away. But are rarely done in say full length movies or book series where you know the audience will wait years for the next one.

I don't really get it... she's punishing the girl cause she was born from an affair... not like she did anything... it's the dad who cheated... so... huh?
Edit: think i might be done with this story... i don't need AVN's to be amazing or the villains relatable but they should at least be compelling in some way... not really interested in watching an overpowered infant throw a petty tantrum... and punish a completely innocent person in the process...

That's like most gods general MO...flaunting their power over mortals. Killing innocents over dumb trivial shit. If they aren't fighting another god who did them dirty over something else stupid, or hey sometimes both things at the same time. Not defending the writing, just saying you may as well hate all myths at that point.

Kinda do... story makers from millennia ago were really not that creative by modern standards... in another way ,that kinda proves my point, i feel like we've moved on from that level of writing... i expect more of my villains... not a huge amount, but more than overly petty gods at least...

I dunno what you mean by that level of writing unless you're specifically talking about this game. Greek myths are awesome with how insane their gods are in a lot of their stories, for example. Same with Norse. And a lot of it amounts petty things if you just remove all the ridiculous details in between.

Damn I haven't played this story in a hot hour so to hear talkin about Gods and bastards got me confused.
you say that as if women have never been petty. on top of that Yume and Sekai are basically gods. The greek goddess Athena turned a lady into a monster for merely suggesting she could be as beautiful as she is if not more. another greek goddess turned a lady into a spider/drider
an dont get me started on Hera or other goddesses.
to add a bit more to this, in nearly every story immortals even those without god like powers are typically shown as very petty.
for example, LOTR, Sauron was being petty because his siblings wouldnt let him create shit and he decided to twist and corrupt their creations.

Look, i'm not saying it's not a story and that ancient cultures didn't have some good stories about their pantheons... my point is that for me at least, this kinda reveal has killed my interest, it's killed the stakes, i have zero empathy for Yume, she's misdirected her anger at an innocent person and now any and all consequences of that just goes back to it... i just don't have any interest in that, it's the kind of petty bullshit i just walk away from in real life and i walk away from it in my fiction too... i don't care anymore, it's dumb and unfair, and leads to either defeating her or convincing her to not be a completely terrible shit person... and i'm not interested in either of those narratives, mortals fighting gods is unconvincing to me, and it's not their job to convince her, where the fuck is Sekai? Protect your daughter you deadbeat prick... ugh... no, enjoy it if you can, i'm out.
