They don't need or want your white knighting, they are perfectly capable of making their own choices of what to do with their money, veq was transparent about telling them to stop pledging, if they keep pledging it is on them, they are accountable, veq handed that accountability over ages ago. So stop moaning and complaining, and let people have a conversation without your white knighting crap (that goes for both sides btw).

this will be the last time i approach this subject because i'm really not trying to get into a back and forth with you over this. but i feel i should at least explain to you why you have added nothing to the conversation.
there are currently two groups of people expressing their view points on the dev situation. some people that blindly follow veq, and ones who think the most recent activity is suspicious. you've somehow magically found your way into a third category, where your only contribution is to criticize both groups and suggest everyone to "let it go." so not only are you not adding value to the conversation, you're trying to stifle it as well. bang up job, pal.

You do realise that was the point right? both groups have been going at it for months. and it is just childish now. Anything positive that could have come from it is long dead and gone, because it was dragged out and killed. All I see are people beating a dead horse, who must have the last say, or the better comeback, or the better white knight moment.
Also it is kinda ironic you talk about not adding anything to the conversation after your last post.
But since you couldn't tell from the first comment, I doubt you would be able to tell from this one so I will point this out again: The conversation is stupid let it die. You have given your 2 cents, not need to keep taking it back and giving it again.

Probably more like something along the lines of "Slowly fading away while hoping that people will forget about the game", but that's something that doesn't happen anymore in times of the internet. It doesn't forget, once things are out there they will stay out there.

Well I would forget it if it was a bad game but it is a good game. Has good story and the women look really good with good renders so it is hard to forget. If it was a shit game I would have forgotten it by now.

The intriguing premise is why I'm sad this game was abandoned otherwise I wouldn't care even if the renders were good. I know not everyone is like this but for me it's all about the story.

Fun, entertaining, good renders, immersive history ... Why is such a project abandoned? I hope the developer reconsiders finishing it someday, it's worth it

You people need to start asking the real questions that matter, and that could have helped formerly:
How is Veqvil doing? Do we have any update on our boy? Did he pronounce himself on Patreon? We know his games are done for, but how is he, the creator struggling with mental health issues?
Fuck the money, fuck the Patreon, fuck the game even and boy did I endorse it when it came out. Most game creators just get fed up with the project and live off the money, but Veqvil was out there working his ass off and releasing updates even after announcing he was having major real life problems. If there is one content creator I believe may have legitimate real life issues, it's him.

legitimate or not, in my eyes that's not really the question or issue......... I believe him when he says he has issues that he is dealing with and hence him no longer working on the game..... what I have issue with is the way he dealt with the suspension of his patreon. We all know how difficult it can be to get reinstated on there and the lengths you have to go to, some have actually failed to be reinstated.
To get his free money source reinstated without even as much as a small message to his backers is just plain wrong..... why if he is unable to currently work on the game does he get it reinstated? why not leave it on suspension until such time as he is ready to return? oh yeah he doesn't get paid for that does he.
I was a patreon of Veq, and backed him up on discord for quite a long time, until this patreon fiasco which has completely changed my opinion of him. Unfortunately what he is doing at the moment is quite simply taking advantage of his community without offering a single thing in return.
