As much as I like this game: I despise the sandbox part, but i do that in all porn games. I do not mind the 'find the hidden object game' part though, like the dildo of amy or the massage oil. Those parts actually add something extra to the story, while the sandbox part is mostly just tedious clicking and all that it can do is make you miss out on stuff because you are not visiting locations in the right order, or waste your time because you feel the need to go EVERYWHERE ELSE first because you get a case of FOMO.
Forgot to reply to this the last time.
Have to admit, the sandbox part of the game def brought a lot of headache for me as a developer and as well to many players.

Back in those days (I think it was 0.04 or 0.05 where I introduced it) it was mostly driven by the possibility to have much more room for the players to discover things (granted that was very ambitious for being not a productivity machine like some other real devs out there *cough*Pinkcake*cough*).

But the silver lining is how much I learned from creating/implementing "sandbox" into LaS. I learned a lot about coding and especially keeping things clean and organized. I grew as a developer from that and maybe having a full map with tons of possible dating locations could come in handy one day (Don't get me wrong, this is not a dating sim but more navigatable locations is always fun).

For now, I did spend a lot of time inside 0.08.5 to help make the sandbox more approachable and transparent e.g. having less clicking by adding quick jump icons. Also having Character Icons showcasing where they currently are, hopefully, will help the player to navigate better through the game.

As for things a player could miss out on not being there on time: This is not what I find Ideal myself. E.g.

But I did change those tasks a little with 0.08.5 and will strongly avoid these for future content.
The goal is to make sure a player has a high chance to get it all, and if he keeps an eye on the quest log 100% gets it all.

I really like seeing this. Learning and growing - fantastic! "Keeping things clean and organized" - I wish some of the "professional" coders I've worked with had learned that lesson.

Also...admitting that you didn't know much is hard, and admirable.

Haha thank you, but I am still very far away to even be considered a coder xD
Also relatively speaking for the pros out there my coding might still be a catastrophe :D

You asked for it so let me tell you what I think. My analysis will not be whether I agree with you or not by constructively criticizing your critique.

First disclaimer to read my following comments is that I think very few people are actually able to give an objective and valuable review for work in progress projects. Many times people fail to understand that any story can totally change in the last minute and sometimes totally awesome/terrible stories became terrible/awesome just in the last page (The novel, not the movie, I am legend is a great example in my opinion of a barely passable novel written just to make a fantastic ending). With this in mind:

Your good points:
1) It was kind of silly for you to mention the spoilers part. If you have just said the eyes are amazing, nobody would have arrived to the conclusion that eyes matter to the story. It would have been understood that "eyes in this novel look amazing". Beside, most reviews include a bit spoiler. Having said that, what is really wrong is that you mention what you think is a spoiler before the warning. The problem with spoilers is that they cannot be undone, so if you think your review includes spoilers you should have included that before saying anything else in the beginning.

2) Your comment about the story are overall fine. You don't need to love or hate a story a hundred per cent.

Your bad points:
1) Your comment about the free roaming. It is a valid critique and you are explaining what you like or dislike.

2) Your critique about sex is a joke. This is a common mistake of many people to fail to understand that just because a game is an adult game is has to have sexy action 1 out of 5 sentences. Even if you hadn't made "mistakes" (I'll come back to this), there is no reason why the novel should congratulate you all the time with sexual actions. It is important to realize that story building, character development, conflict building and other aspects of any regular novel are also aspects that need their time and are a prize by itself (even sad moments can be a "prize" of picking the "right" choices). Which leads me back to the thing about mistakes. This is a novel built with story in the head, not a pick a right choices to get sex. If you are getting into the game with that mind set this game is not for you. I really think it is a terrible mindset to have, but if you want to enjoy that kind of games, you need to understand that not all games will satisfy it. In an essence, what I am saying is that your comment felt like criticizing Call of Duty for not having sword fights or criticizing Mass Effect for focusing too much on story and characters instead of giving us more weapons to kill the enemy. They are not the only focus of the game.

It also points back to the disclaimer. Suppose everything I said before is wrong and you should have been rewarded for you choices with a lot of sexy time. The work is in progress. All that happy action you are waiting can become available in future versions. We have no idea how long the game will be in the end (what are 7 chapters if the game end up having 70, for example). So the least you could do is give the benefit of doubt.

Hope that helps. I never meant to disrespect not to personally attack. Everything I said was with a constructive mindset.

Okay, I am replaying this for the first time in a long time and need to ask a few questions:

1) When will the game be reworked? There are multiple points where Veqvil points out that he will rework content (Jason and Becky so far) and I remember that from the first time I played this game. Is that going to happen soon or will it wait until the end?

2) Is there any lewd content with Becky, Mom, or Sis? I feel like the only lewdness was with the "aliens" next door who I intensely disliked. (I am sure I am in the minority).

Well I am not sure how tastes are distributed among the population of players of this game but for me is totally the other way around. What I loved about this game were the Baron girls (sisters and Aunt) and all the supernatural thing surrounding them. I also could not care less about MC's family and ex girlfriend, but that is just me, I kind of dislike how they love MC without almost no effort whatsoever.

Thanks for the time it tooks you to answer!

1) yeah a mistake i could easily correct. I judged this a little lightly i guess.

2 bis) Not that common, we all know why we play those games. Sex is the main interest and story oftenly is a great plus appreciated! For example, one of my favorite is acting lessons or lately i tried an excellent game where the story is first and sex second. I get it the game can be changed but 7 chapters is really long without a "reward". That's a really long build up... that set expectation very high, too high may be? So i guess your word is a little unfair about what i think of this game but that's my opinion ;)

For the disclaimer part, that's actually something i can't be ok with. We all (players) can be able to rate a game even if it is in progress. Oftenly that's a personal taste factor, but mostly i think you must take those comments on a constructive tough for your game when you are the author.

Just a final comment. I don't agree with the "we all know why we play those games". I no longer play adult games for the sex. Sex is the strawberry on top of the ice cream. Just look at my sign. Of the three novels series I mentioned, only Muvluv have sex, and you can totally take it out without changing a 1% of the novel and everybody would rate it the same. But I find totally ok with peple that do and I do enjoy games like that. I only mentioned it because there are games that are all about the build up to sex. Take Estate Dominate. That game is totally sex related and keeps getting better and better. And so far we had no sex, but the build up is hotter that pretty much every other game in which you would have already had a release. If you have not played it, please do. It is the closest thing to poetry a sex focused adult novel can get in my opinion.

About the disclaimer I never meant do not make criticism. On the contrary, I think those are great and needed and can only help (when they are done with the constructive mindset). But one thing is to make that another one is to rate and review. Rating and reviewing implies a more detailed analysis and implies usually a comparison to other examples (the star number is irrelevant if there are no other games to compare to). But usually, those other games are in different states of production, so it is like comparing oranges and bananas. UNLESS the game is finished. But I guess that as long as the reviewer and readers are aware that those are the state of affairs up to X version is fine (and that different developers may focus of things on different order).

Ok, well having played through it I will answer my own question which is that there is almost zero lewd content, the game needs the promised rework, and after 8 updates not much really happens. If the Barons aren't of interest the game introduces a lot of characters but doesn't build relationships with any of them. Beyond a couple of dream sequences there is zero sex in the game. There's a lot of teasing of content but no actual content. Considering this game has been out for almost 3 years (I know it was abandoned or on hold for awhile) it doesn't seem like it is going to get to any sexual content soon.

I really like the renders of the mom, Lily, and the Barons (even if I find the supernatural bit uninteresting). There is a story that the Dev wants to tell, it just is taking forever for it to be told. Perhaps when update 10 comes out there will be something that propels the story forward, perhaps some sexual content, perhaps the supernatural storyline will stop requiring the MC be passive and become assertive. I wish the Dev all the best, this has promise it just seems like it is a mess right now.

In a dream sequence or non-love route? Because there was nothing whatsoever besides some kisses in my playthrough.
I guess you played the "Dales" route, which is the harem one. In the Carol solo love one, you can have sex with her. That means you need to ignore Amy as a romantic interest. Thing is, one affectionate choice for Amy and you're on the harem route.
