I do admit, it is odd to see these developers making a fair amount per month but not want to update. Then again I am simple, a quick "Still alive, work is progressing, expecting an update to release in X time but will update if that changes". I know The Store Is Closed dev is pretty bad on that too.

Hey, "Dev" here! I've been working steadily on the game day by day. I ran into some issues that were affecting its performance, so I’ve been fixing the scripts to make sure everything runs smoothly. That’s also why I’ve been off Discord I got a bit overwhelmed handling everything on my own. The Tara update is going well, but I had to wrap up some parts of Fauna and Dolla’s story first. Their scripts were a bit messy and kept crashing the updated build, and some scenes just didn’t feel right to me. I ended up reworking them multiple times because, above all, I want this update to be something truly enjoyable not just some rushed, weekly post with a half-baked scene. Sorry for the delay, but don’t worry the Tara update is coming soon, and it’s going to be a strong one.
i do agree he should in general have better communication about this stuff but at the end of the day he is working by himself and learning as he goes, the game is amazing and he is a good developer. if the game wasnt being worked on anymore he would make an announcement saying so. the patreon posts using the laft characters and the fact that he hasnt said the game is dead should be enough for you guys to know its still being worked on

how is he a good developer?
- seem like, he has no Sprints and only Milestones(which he cannot keep)
- no Communication with his Costumers/ Subscribers for months
- no Software Design Document (or any Documentation?)
He can be a good Guy, but for ~2000$ per month is Communication the least he has to do.
as i just said in my message he did communicate the current status through discord which i posted here, and give me an example of a milestone/goal he has had and didnt keep i believe he has completed every single one, the only exception would be when he has to delay but he still does it. and where did u get 2000 per month? not saying your wrong but with the popularity of the game and the average amount of patreon subscribers i see in discord i feel like that is a very high estimate

It shows on the Patreon of the dude that he's earning currently $2119 a month. For a game that hasn't got any new content for a whole year that's a pretty impressive amount of money that people are giving. I was also giving my share on the his patreon to support the guy because i enjoyed the game, but i stopped my subscription when it's been +6 months with nothing new was being added in the game.
I see his Patreon and he could simply copy his Post from Discord. But why would he apologise for not communicating, if he is active?

'Tara update' is his Costumers/ Subscribers Milestone, but I see he broke his Developer Milestones (Story/Scripts/Priorities).
This could be bad Design or bad Documentation, a good Developer would use Project Management Tools(e.g. simple TeamWork or more advanced Jira).
Software development is more Management than Coding, and if he has a good Management & Documentation-System future Content is much easier.
But many VN Developer on this Site start with, a good Idea and pumping Content without foundation (Project Management), nice example would be 'Summertime Saga' Tech-Update is still not fully-released.

And you could calculate, 10% from Subscribers * highest Tier (max.30$)+ lowest Tier for 'Access to the latest builds' = roughly Patreon earning.
And you gotta think about it like this as well he gave up the other tears because he couldn’t do those videos he was making for higher Patreon members of the characters because he didn’t have time because he was working on this game and there were other things I will not mention
I wish we get another update, i love this game, time to wait another year i think.

he had enough Subs for a chance as indie-Dev, one this Site are many Devs that jumped from hobby to full-time with family or not (Success/Failure). And as Freelancer/ Independent Dev it is 'Do or do not. There is no try'(YAY, Yoda).
I respect every Freelancer, because for me Development hell is too tempting

is the problem content(TA, Posing etc.)? than nobody with a full-time job would help him for free, because it is time consuming.
is the problem coding? I remember this game had no different paths or games etc. therefore had the Dracosaurus the foundation already.
is the problem story? this is difficult, would Dracosaurus still have fun with this game after getting help?
but you could help him with h-content, ask Dracosaurus for koikatsu cards, maps etc and make h-scenes (if he gives it)

Actually, they was people that said it, but I’m not gonna argue about that in the second thing you could talk to him about the price of helping him there cause he does got money so look at Patreon in the last thing you don’t even know why the game is been messed up lately.
