I mentioned this in another discussion.
But Lacey was an alcoholic, how and why the fuck is she always drinking?
I don't get it, alcohol is very addictive, and to be honest, makes you want to go and get drugged up thanks to the lower inibitions and "call for more".
When you drink and have used other stuff while drinking, the urge to use will be pretty strong.
Now we are flying over speculation territory, I don't know, some drama might come up again in simpler ways like the pimp getting drunk and starting again about Lacey's past.
Talking about the leash. There was an image in the files or her crying while wearing it. Was that actually used in game and i just missed it?

To be fair she dosent need to be drunk for that, just trying to be funny...thats her version of humor.

Yup....happily just waved away....it she keeps relapsing on the K...she sure as hell would with alcohol too. But how much did she really drink in college....that really does mess with your memory...so she was obviously never completely blitzed was she...more smoke and mirrors....
And the MC and Jeanette leave early to come back home and leave them there....depending on path/points...what happens next....

Edit: (and to be fair, for once, they are not aware why it didn't work...and they the MC et-al know it was a deepfake. However, that still does not take away the utter ridiculousness of this plot. While drinking was involved it was never stated that she was an alcoholic IIRC, but that she was “only” an addict
I agree with you, in real life these two go hand in hand and will feed eachother.
Where you are going wrong in my opinion, is that you are mistaking Lacey for a drug addict in recovery. She is not in a program, doesn’t have a sponsor, quite the opposite as you are well aware, and no one pushing her to go straight edge / tea total.
What she is, is a regular addict/drug abuser. They realise they have problem and try to quit the main issue, but don’t realise that other things are also hampering there recovery, more often than not, they will actually compensate with alcohol or weed, telling themselves this is better than they were before at least

Will is obviously portrayed as a dumb henchman, FV is more of a dick dastardly type, I think the author tried to make his speech a bit more sophisticated.
But that might be me as english is a second language for me.
I think it is stated she drank at night and in the morning, let's not discount the addictive properties of alcohol.
She also states that she was in alcohol withdrawal, so... (i guess I can hold to my crown for a while longer

And yes, when on phone with MC at cliff, she states withdrawal. If you're having alcohol withdrawals, you're an alcoholic. If you need to get 'over the day'...you're an alcoholic. If you need it to 'start the day'...guess what? You're an alcoholic heh.....same as with weed. Met so many scatter breained no memory idiots who still state it doesn't affect them nor are they addicted...but they 'need it' for insert whatever random bullshit reason here'....

While unhealthy, it can be and emotional or psychological coping mechanism, e.g. dealing with nerves or grief, which could have you drinking during the day just to make it through.
The physical dependency comes after and is a result of abusing such a coping mechanism

As i remember the conversation, it is only a 4 day trip. Of course Lacey can get into trouble in that short of a time span. Reading DEVs plans, I doubt any more NTR anything that is real do to what his statements are. He states forgiveness and love. I just think the forgiveness has started but the forgetting is impossible. But DEV will write whatever he wants, we can not do anything about it.

I doubt it, she been a week away from eachother and that didn't go well, also they established that being away from eachother won't work, it would only cause more problem and possible mistakes.

instead of rehashing old stuff and what we think it might mean or allude to imma spit out guesses to things that will happen in act 3 that are more of the same, cause real answers, resolutions and the MC not getting fucked over is something the dev avoids like the LIs avoid accountability
so they are flying to vegas right? im trying to calculate the odds of someone bringing up joining the mile high club on the plane only for MC to learn Lacey already did...
also dev will probably have one of their seats upgraded to first class, and MC of course will give it to Lacey and she will spend the whole time drinking champagne and being inappropriate with a middle aged man.
