The game is amazing as always. Proud to be a patron. However, my game is getting hungup with Molly asking the MC to shower and then nothing happens. Thoughts?

Droid Productions , loved the game, thank you so much for several extremely pleasurable evenings! In fact, it's so great, that prompted me to write my first message on this site after years of lurking)

I'll try to provide a detailed feedback:

1. General impressions. All the major components of the game (dialogues, graphics, music, battle system, romance and above all the plot) are superb and also fit well together. Given the nature of this site, I have initially expected more focus on the lewd content, but after playing for a while I got captivated with the characters and the story and internally reclassified this game as a “respectful” indie game with some adult content rather than a porn flick with a coherent plot. So, while I won’t mind to see more hot scenes (especially with Molly, she is a treasure) I personally do like the current balance of content types.
Moreover, while I do find several other games from this site quite enjoyable, I would not consider subscribing to most of them via Steam since I am not comfortable enough with my friends knowing I have played them (I know this is somewhat hypocritic, but I don’t find broadcasting my guilty pleasures too appealing). As far as Love of Magic goes though, I have absolutely no qualms declaring publicly that I like it, so here you got another subscriber on Steam.
I am not sure though that the genre “erotic visual novel” that the game currently has on Steam does it justice. Obviously, it is entirely up to you, but in my head this genre typically has a lot more focus on sex or at least relationship and does not have a proper adventure component that your game has. So, it is possible that some people who are just looking for lewd content that is typical of the genre may be dissatisfied, while some people who would enjoy the game may ignore it simply because of the label. But again, these are my personal impressions that may not map onto the general audience, so feel free to ignore them)

2. Plot and worldbuilding. While I don’t usually find the “Chosen One trying to save the world“ trope too appealing, yours take on it struck home. If you try to describe the gist of a story it does sound clichéd (Chosen One not aware of his ancestry, love with the princess on first sight etc.), but I somehow got captivated with the plot and played basically non-stop until I have completed the current content (breaking only to work, sleep and eat). Perhaps it’s not the general frame, it is tiny details that make the world believable. In particular I liked your take on sorcery and especially ceremonial magic.

3. Characters. All girls are IMHO very likable and yet have unique features. Emily is a gem, but has understandably more content than the rest of the ladies combined. I personally like Molly by far the best and am eagerly awaiting for new scenes with her. I would also welcome more content with Katie and Bella, both are very alluring Akane so far is lagging a bit behind others in my opinion, but that may be changed after the next update.

4. Battles. The combat system is simple, but entertaining. The only possible problem I have with it, is it becomes a lot less challenging after Molly became available (honestly, she is ridiculously strong) and I was able to get some decent gems.
This may be build-related (I had shields on lower hands and poison on upper), but after approximately day 50 the only problems I ever had was with Jacks of Spades (demon price IIRC) if they had several particularly fortunate hands in a raw. Using only Molly in battle, normally you are able to generate 2000-3000 poison damage per round with 1000+ added to shields, which is of course more than enough for all opponents you encounter in Elsewhere. The key is to discard your hand in the penultimate turn of the round until the opponent decides to play cards and spawn joker hand. If the last two cards are diagonal, you have 5 combos instead of 1 (if diagonal cards a played before penultimate turn, you can have 3 combos instead of 1 earlier in the same manner). Given that with Molly a lot of “outer” cards are jokers, this gives you at least several upper hands.
I am not sure if it is an exploit, but this technique makes an overwhelming majority of battles later in the game not challenging at all.

5. I have encountered a bug in 0.4.31 version, that I’d like to report.
I have saved the game during my trip to Elsewhere, when I had incomplete HP, and after the next battle my HP was set to max 100. I was able to finish the exploration successfully (which illustrates the power of tactics described in item 4), but this may prove to be more nuisance to some other builds.
There must have been some additional factors, since I am unable to reproduce the bug by intentionally losing HP and saveloading after that.

Although @Shnurre you could say that Molly is ridiculously strong try a group with Cloe and Molly plus lighting gems which according too many is really power full experience but in reality you are free too choose other characters for the party  Personally I change the companions especially depending on my mood for the battles even in my last playthroughs I use the auto battle more often and I still find the game amazing perhaps because it isn't the main theme the battles but the story at least for me :)
p.s. I still try to find an idea how I could convince Droid Productions to release yesterday the whole story :ROFLMAO:

Day 92, right? It was the end of content. New content got pushed yesterday (to the end of Akane's date); if you're on Steam, it should auto-refresh, otherwise the latest build is on Discord.

Thanks

One other note, will there be opportunities to visit with the Chosen for a little mutual relaxation (aka repeatable events)?

Anyone with recommendations on how best to order one's jewels for combat?
In my first play through I started with fire decent damage but nothing like lighting you can test any combination also nice build would be to add some shields plus attack really it is up to you :)

There's a couple of metas that seem good right now:
- Burn it with Fire (Katie style). All fire gems
- Drink it down (poison/shield deck). Poison's great for doing lots of damage, but it takes a while to kick in, especially if the first board clear fails to kill the enemy.
- A touch of lightning. Lighting + Damage; the stunlock gets progressively more expensive, but the first couple of stuns are cheap
- Raging Clusters (the cluster gems get a rage bonus for each strike, effectively tripling your rage bonus)
- Raging Shields (there's a bug/feature that rage bonus is applied even to gems that don't do direct damage. A raging shield deck does damage each time you add another shield to your character)

Note that all of these really only matter at higher difficulties; the Companions are powerful enough that most normal fights are pretty easy.

I did a new playthrough last week. Started out with pure fire, then switched to rage/cluster in Chapter III.

Fire gems worked reasonably well. The major problem was, unsurprisingly, fire elementals. I avoided them whenever possible. If I was going again I'd probably try poison/shield for the early game.

Rage/Cluster was simply murder. Put cluster gems in your bottom three slots (pair, two pair, three of a kind), fill the rest with rage gems and bring Molly along as a companion to ensure you can get some high hands. You've got to wait until Chapter III to be able to buy the gems you need from the Quartermaster, but once you've got them its brutally effective.

try Molly+Akane... sometimes the enemy has to simply dscard his hand ...

for starters I'd suggest lightning or shields in 4 of a kind, since it's an easy to get hand, the remaining is up to your preference, if you're in the early stages, keep in mind that you can putlow tier gems into higher tier slots, it's better than havin junk gems.

I found Molly+Akane (or Molly+Chloe) to be overkill when playing cluster/rage. Over 2 rounds I could already put out far more damage than any enemy with just Molly. The battles I lost were when a high level enemy got some lucky hands in the first round and knocked me out before I could generate enough rage to burn through their hp pool.

Molly+Emily had better balance - even Daemon Princes couldn't get through the shield quickly enough. Plus it allowed me to put Bella in the third slot for extra moves.

Molly is two edged , any joker you play works against you if you lose the outside rows . May win quickly against the lower enemies but the higher ones gain your jokers , so you lose , they are not just getting lucky !

because despite all, she is not offering to become MC's chosen
Well that is not her role, she is in a way more his teacher or even a force to confront him with where he may not want to go but has to. For his chosen sorcereres he has Molly.

Edit: To elaborate upon this point, even the powers in the game like Thor kinda respect Chloe even if they may not fear her. She may well be akin to a power in her own right even if she is/seems not as strong in her own right. It is hardly a coincidence though that she was at MC's inception, in Scotland when he got there owning an Inn with a portal, there when he was in real danger or needed help on the Katie situation. She seems to be the chosen of the voices when it comes to shaping MC and guiding him on his path and we should not underestimate the possibility that what is behind those voices also influenced or even manipulated Merlin and that horny one more as they think or thought ( Ihave not played the content beyond act 4 though if that contradicts this). Knowing more of Chloe's backstory and who she actually is could be pretty interesting.

I haven't really lost any battle recently with the attached allocation. I usually fight with Molly, Bella and Rose and also tried Molly Akane and her Fox. Had success either way. Any suggestions?

I use all fire gems except in the upper slot which is for the diamond. Can't wait to get Emily back from the court so I can use her to kill any monster once it drops to an HP of 400-600 using Daddy's sword. X definitely doesn't hold a candle to the damage she can do. I should point out I am using the default difficulty though. In the meantime I like using Katie, Dylan and Bella.

1st round I use standard attacks for Katie and Bella while using Regen for Dylan. 2nd round the same. When I see that the following round will clear the board I have Bella use the Special Poison for the extra 100 hp hit. After 2nd round I only use Dylan for heal is my HP drops below max. I still lose a few battles but not many.
