engineering - weapons design and project management
constructions - building glades fortifications and such
crafting - get the right resources and get upgrades for your companions or upgrades
services - can be sub contracted ...
financial - someone has to manage the treasure and get it working
industries - to build the weapons
medical and bio medical magic - someone as to keep people alive
my favorite is the crafting perhaps create a forge and then give players like 100 options on things to craft enough that the decision will affect your game play since you can not have them all
things such as lightning small gem tips for Bella, fire wands for Chloe or Molly, Shielding staff for Dylan or Akune, Steel magical katana for Kitsune and so forth including the upgrades to sentient armours and swords!
you can even make it a Quest called a diplomatic embassy to get a special ambassador such as a certain master crafter who might have already built a special crossbow!

One of the topics of Book 2 is building Camelots War Machine; by default Emily's new weapons division is called Pendragon Enterprises, but you can rename them. One of the Discord regulars prefered the term Spark Industries
Just finished the game (the first time) and have to wow. I was constantly positively surprised by it! For me, one of the best games I have found on this site!

On a side note: Wanted to wishlist it on steam as requested in the epiloge. But I cannot open the link as "it is not available in your country". VPN didn't help. Is the wishlisting still helpfull for you? If so, how can I do it?

What I did (with Droid's knowledge and blessing), since I was a beta tester and was given a Steam Key, was do a $20 Patreon pledge, then as soon as my card was charged I canceled. The whole thing? Months...something like 6 weeks/act, and 5-6 acts per book. Act VII is about halfway through,on the beta branch of steam. Hopefully another 2 weeks to finish the core story, then 2 weeks of side events, then bug fixes.

They were mainly added for the Steam version; I left them in for the non-steam version, but didn't have time to add in stuff like achievements browser, etc. I might return to that if I do an update later.

Droid Productions I don't know if you should, but I see you might still change things in book 1, if you ever get around to the inventory/gems system. It could really use an overhaul if you play without the cheats option to get all gems it's quite frustrating if you wanna collect them all, since there isn't an overview of what you own and what you can buy. Some inventory/shop management would be great unless we are done with that mechanic going forward in the other books..
considering the achievements, what a legend has a curriculum vitae in game which is quite funny although not necessary it is well implemented.

haven't encountered any issues there. my linux laptop gets a bit hot when playing but that's more likely because of shitty cooling

same. i have a old toshiba laptop with linux on it from my ex. got used to using it and wouldn't ever go back to windows but i'm really hoping more sthings come out for it. this thing also heats up
Nothing that major is changing in Book 1; anything big would also need to be ported over to book 2, and it's a pain (the code-bases have diverged already). I might do a final one with a few bug-fixes, typos, and an update for android that copies the final save somewhere I can retrieve it from book 2 (right now you need to manually copy it over, which is bad UX).
Most of it won't affect Book 2 that much; there will be some sub-sequences that play differently if you'd never completed Black Rose, or helped Snowdrop, or dealt with Olivia. You can't do most of the side-stuff from Book 1 in Book 2; we're transitioning from life as a student in Edinburgh to that of a God at War. Because of that, side events with the various Companions scans wrong, hanging out playing Bouncer at the Crowley doesn't make sense, etc. Essentially a lot of the sandbox needs to be replaced, new locations created. The majority of the characters continue on with us, though.
