Yeah, book 2; happens in the Dojo while training (like a lot of things).
When Akane was made Chosen she pulled enough power from you to punch through a Veil, a glamour, put upon her. In doing so she remembered things people would prefer forgotten, including her Mother and who she was. That comes home to roost in Book 2.

huh, I remember the quote about stuff being kept from her but I'll be honest I don't recall it going anywhere. But then again I didn't build the blooming Dojo until the end the last time so it's probably a good job I'm working through Book 1 again
The Dojo's definitely the number one place to build so far; Akane, Molly, Bella and Jalsa all have one (or more) events in them.
This part of the plot and companion development has always impressed me. It fit's so smoothly into the storyline. Excellent writing and so well accompanied by the visuals. One of the many reasons this game is such a joy to play.
I've been trying to convince myself not to replay book 1. It would be the 6th time. I tell myself that the improvements can't be worth the investment, and then I think about the teasers. I tell myself I'm all about the story. The imagery is just gilding the lily. I tell myself I'd have to surrender the two trips beyond day 215.
But in the end I'm kidding myself. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but soon...
Helluva game you've created Droid. One hell of an excellent game.
Only one so far (and then the introduction of the Changer guard, but that's a non-sexual event).

Doubtful. There are very few few hints around that.
- Droid has stated that "Val and Aoife both like him" (the MC)
- At one point when it was suggested that Aoife could be a match for Keith and another when suggested as a match for Dylan, Droid simply stated no because "Aoife's ours."
That's not much to go on. And even that was spread out over more than a year.
So, my take (pending some new hint dropping
)- Droid's pretty careful about avoiding even a hint of Enn Tee Arrr. Locking Aoife down as MC only doesn't actually mean anything is going to happen there. It could just mean nobody else is getting a taste either.
- IF Aoife hooks up with anyone in game, I believe it will be the MC.
- IF that were to happen, it would likely be side content of some sort (he wants to add a lot of KD content, who knows.)
- Aoife is certainly aware of the permanence and significance of the MC's current relationships. Would she go for a 'fling'?
I call it odds against, but I would be quite happy to be wrong

I would call it odds for in the end for at least a fling or two and I suspect the exact nature of who MC is and who he is related to may play a role in that possibly from her perspective. Val might be a harder nut to crack especially for anything but a fling considering who she is, though she might have been more interested if not already a chosen and MC were free.Doubtful. So Possible? Yes - if Droid accidentally stumbles into some solid side plot-line that grabs him. She's also certainly a crowd favorite and he knows that. Still, it feels like a stretch for the characters to me and that may be the bigger hurdle.

I think it would need to be more significant that a fling. Aoife doesn't seem like the type of lady to just go to a bar and pull the cutest Evoker she can find, especially given her reaction to Keith and Keira. Airs and graces and all that.

The only thing I believe I remember about number of chosen is basically how many he wants sponging off his power...no hard limit as to how many he can have, just that the more he has, the more drain on his power.

Yeah but also remember who MC is, he is not just an evoker or even war leader, he is kinda directly related to the highest level possible in the fey court, not a Keith that serves someone else (If I remember right if he was an unbound evoker not in service to the crown he might have been already way more acceptable a as a suitor if rememeber some of Aoiffe's words correctly). Well what she might want out of MC, might not be a mate, but just some hot sex, considering who she is and her powerI would expect her to be used to choosing whom she wants instead of other way around when feels the urge and is unlikely to have very strong feelings about chastity considering the court she is part of .
Considering Val, if I remember right droid said in past that Freya has a different relation with her chosen as MC and his "horny" father have and way less sexual in nature, so a fling could make sense, just not something more serious since as you said her loyalty lies with Freya first.
The Emily question is a more serious one and harder to deal with, but the sexual nature of MC seems to go further as just his Chosen and may well be part of whom he is and his mantle and Emily seems aware even if she might wish it different. You also forgot Chloe for one that MC has been playing a bit with.
Katie is a whole different kettle of fish, I think droid also mentioned Lancelot when came to her. She is not just important as a friend, she is as needed as any of the chosen and Emily for MC to succeed in what is asked of him likely. MC, Emily and her will need to find a way to deal with their situation that will suit all three of them, as everyone except for Katie and MC around them seems to be aware of.

Yeah, I meant more in a meta kind of way. I know the lore is "as many as you are happy to have drawing on your power" and it's mentioned time and time again that the MC has power to spare and then a lot more. Now, in a normal porn game, that'd mean you end up in a situation where you couldn't swing your dick without slapping one of your Chosen across the face with it, but it's safe to say here the Droid is putting the effort in to give this game an actual proper narrative whilst preventing it from simply descending into debauchery. So I can only imagine there'll be a limit in who'll be allowed in, so to speak, less it become a bit unruly to navigate all the pieces.

I think you're probably right. One of the things I always appreciated about this game was the balance achieved between story and lewd. And when you look at story, I really don't see Emily just letting MC run rampant w/ creating Chosen just so he can bone anything w/ a hole and a heartbeat....

Although I agree the relationship with Val and Freya is less sexual, it's still a connection. To a God, the chosen are THEIRS. Chloe yes, oops. Of course. I'm not so sure about your point about Emily. There has been times the MC has had the option to answer dialogue with "yeah, Emily's onboard but I'm not sure how much and I'd rather not push it" and I think that fits. She GETS the MC will have Chosen, to fight against that is to fight against the tide, but having a wee fancy bit? That's a wee bit different. I think Molly even mentions something along those lines after you decide on a plan to save Emily and go back to your room. The MC mentions Emily might not be too keen on joining in and would have to be talked round to it. Emily is a pawn to destiny, but that doesn't mean she'll be down with turning into the Cuck Queen of Camelot
Yeah, although it's mentioned that her father was Lancelot, she is very much giving off those vibes. I do not think what you put in spoiler will play out, but that they will find a way and also that in the end it will likely be Emily for her reasons (with maybe some help of the voices) that will make it happen since Katie and MC seem to stubborn and clueless
, even if just to safeguard MC and Elanora as much as possible and that plus her own liking of Katie will weigh heavier for her in the end. Edit: It may well be still a while before Emily will be consciously ready for that though. The other things, well it is where Droid wants to take it, I think there is room there if he wants to or not if he does not. Val, last word about that. It would not be passing her around, but since Freya would not be sexual with her female chosen herself allowing them to have some fun if they want to as long as it stays just fun and not interfere with their loyalty. Just as with Aoiffe it would be cause she wants to for her reasons, not that they would have to.

For Aoife, something fundamental would need to change; she's just not into casual sex the way a travelling Fae might be.
For Val, she was cruising for a pickup the first time you met her, and while she's probably a little more wary of MC these days her bond to Freya is in no way sexual, and Freya would get really pissy if Val was hovering over her like Molly or the rest of MC's Chosen do. She expects them to get their jollies off outside the home, then return to the boss with the itch scratched. And yes, Chosen don't stray; MC's not got some kind of magical dick that would mysteriously convert Val, if they had sex they'd have a hard night and she'd be gone before he woke up, and if she was ordered to kill him the next day she wouldn't hesitate for a second.
