I just finished the final chapter in book 2. All I can say is SCREW YOU to the developer.

"Face your nightmares" with a footage of a flying helicopter... I know I haven't played in a while but don't tell me you put a helicopter mission from GTA Vice City in there?
Steam wanted me to add a trailer that has actual gameplay in it, so I needed to update it. I'll likely do one that has ONLY gameplay (without any effects). Apart from that, and some comments about the Adult Declaration they didn't seem to have any issues (touch wood), so it's hopefully on track for a 31st May release:

As always, if you want to give the game a little algorithmic boost, give it a wishlist on Steam; it really helps with the upcoming launch.

Could have been worse. Droid might have taken pointers from Crysis.I know I haven't played in a while but don't tell me you put a helicopter mission from GTA Vice City in there?
Item added to your wishlist! And with 0.9.0 the game is officially content complete!
Uploading to Steam now, and I'll see about doing another public build before the official release. As always, if you like a game, support it, so the dev can afford instant noodles and power.
I'm putting Book 1 on sale the day before Book 2 releases (with 20% discount). Later on I'll do a joint package with both of them on sale. I don't have a Steam deck for testing, but I imagine the lack of a mouse pointer is problematic. I can probably work around it, but it was never really designed for a controller.Hey Droid Productions how are you? Will be there a discount pack with the Book 1 and 2 for the Book 2 steam release? Also I'm planning to buy Book 2 but played the Book 1 version from here, will be any problem with saves incompatibility? edit: Oh! I forgot, How is the compatibility with Steam Deck?
If you're playing with the walkthrough, you should also have two other resources open/available at the same time: the page on the wiki that describes all the events/side quests, and the character tables that tell you on which day stat/effect/skill upgrades are available (and where/how to trigger them). The walkthrough's sometimes thin on details when it comes to non-main story events.Ahhh right - no if its not in the walkthrough I haven't done things in elsewhere - thanks I'll get on it.
There's a couple of times I have to time out optional content, because they don't make sense due to the story progressing. At some points some characters are unavailable, or their relationship with you changes. The obvious one here is Molly, who has a full on brat-act going on until the end of Act II. All of that optional content needs to be gated away, or you'd wonder why she's still acting like a bitch after becoming Chosen.(That said, they're not nonexistent, either. At least, that's what the walkthrough for Book 1 suggests. I didn't test the assertion.)
It also needs to be listed in game, without having to rely on wiki or forums like in Hail Dicktator. Best games that I played dosen't need walkthrough, mods or variables cheat too see all content. Players shouldn't be able to miss amazing quests like Black Rose by accident. All of that optional content needs to be gated away
There is the memories section, but I didn't make one for Love of Magic for fully recalling sex scenes. It also needs to be listed in game, without having to rely on wiki or forums like in Hail Dicktator. Proper scene gallery also must have, maybe you can implement it based on save system. Like premade saves, that unlocks after you saw scene in game. Or at least autosaves before naughty scenes like Act X Completed ones.
Still, its good for "game with porn in it" or "porn game". To make blind exploration intresting you really have to do Elden Ring level of game design (which is btw also criticized for not having quest journal by many). It's a scourge of the modern game design.
This is what I don't like about current Memories section in Love of Magic. Without dialogs it's just a bunch of sprites and backgrounds.just gimme the spankbank, fuck the story, who's got time for that?
Yeah, it's unexciting. The problem is that having people tell us that they're totally uninterested in the story for Paradise Lust, and just want to get to the sex scenes and then leave, is soul-crushing, and for Love of Magic it's my soul getting crushed (I don't write PL).This is what I don't like about current Memories section in Love of Magic. Well I played the game without the wiki or walkthrough and while I admit it's time consuming to try to get a quest all the time before doing other activities the only thing's I lost was some side events that needed you to bring specific people to elsewhere together and talk to them, that's about it but if someone looses the black rose I doubt they're even trying to play... there's an active quests bar right there and if you can't even activate the quests...well not you, anyone...It also needs to be listed in game, without having to rely on wiki or forums like in Hail Dicktator. A lot of that is more the fault of a segment of players that want everything in easy mode and so called game journalists that keep them worked up about a game's difficulty, but many developers do give too much attention the the squeaky wheel. They call themselves game journalists but they're really just bloggers promising devs that if they give them free copies of their games they'll review them on their podcasts since they have so many followers. They mostly just gripe about how hard a game is and that every game made should have an easy mode setting. A good recent example was the big uproar among the 'journalists' over how difficult Elden Ring is and that devs should make it easier because it's too hard to play and players won't buy it, yet it sold over 13 million copies it's first month. There is the memories section, but I didn't make one for Love of Magic for fully recalling sex scenes.
