Unity Completed Love of Magic [B1 v1.6.11f] [Droid Productions]

I am a bit confused. I am playing the development branch of book 3 on Steam and I have a save where Emily tells me I can roam around a bit and she will get back to me when it's time to move on or the like. I am playing to see the Jenny stuff that has been added. I go through a few days and get a rope training scene with Molly that appears RNG driven as it doesn't show up consistently. Do that and wait for night where an additional location on the Camalot map appears where I can go get Jenny which leads into her scene. In both of those scenes, I have at least once hit the double back arrow thing that should take me back to the beginning of the scene but it brings me all the way back to the Emily at the last save.

Droid Productions any thoughts on that?

There aren't any compressed versions, it's just that big.

There's a couple of torrents at various times, search this thread for Daxter250's posts, since that's something he manages.

I think it's missing a flag that's supposed to be set when Emily tells you that the first time. I'll have a look.

This must have been the worst nut kick of all time. Book 1 was good. Book 2 was fantastic. Book 3 is total garbage if you follow a story. The story is suppose to have character development. But this was just a total reset. You dont do this in a story. It wouldve just been better to end it in book 2 and start a new game. Atleast then it would be new. This was disappointing to say the least. I wont keep playing book 3 at all. Im just gonna have book 2 as an conclusion. Even though there was still a ton of things that needed to be concluded. Not like it matters anyway. Just gonna handle it as a canceled show and move on. There should just be a disclaimer that the story wont finish and will have a reset in book 3. Fuck this wasted my time

That's a hot take. I can see where your coming from but do not agree. Its tempting to want the same thing from a story with regularity but that can also quickly get boring. I quite like the change-up of chapter 3 and am curious how it resolves/if MC will make it back to his dimension. CLEARLY things are teed up for a MC/Emily/Emily three way

Hard disagree. Also, total reset? Who says anything about total reset? Did you just play the first few minutes of the book and called it quits? Heck, even from the first day it's obvious that things are totally different this time around.

Lack of patience? Book 3 is at the 3rd Act (of the book). Many new challenges. Emily is a challenge all her own, in both powers and emotions. New alliance with Unseelie Court? Outsiders roaming aimlessly... what is the endgame? Droid said there will be a "happy ending"... I imagine not in the sense of a massage parlor, but???? Merlin wants his mommy back? 2 Emilys? Actually 2 of everyone except Bella and others killed. How is THAT reconciled? A lot there if you look. Personally, I can hardly wait, which is why I am AGAIN playing a total restart. Dialog that is taken in hand, is such a tight weave of clues! Day 47 when Akane mentions their "bond", even as she is not yet a Chosen. After Owyn almost dies (1st time), Molly says she would go crazy if he died. Book 1 references to Book 3? Honestly, as I have replayed a few times, I find more and more, and can't wait to see how the clues play out!

You shut your mouth! Book 3 brings Bella back from the dead! That's worth all the annoyance Emily 2.0 provides.

I am more than a little curious about how dev is going to manage with the whole multiple people in 2 different universes thing though. Universe 1 has a pregnant Emily, and a live Katie, Molly, and Akane (and Jenny), but a dead Bella. Universe 2 has a live everybody (which includes annoying as fuck Emily 2.0) + a freak quasi-Chosen popstar Jenny, but no baby Elanora.

Is MC going to be forced to pick a universe and end up abandoning his remaining Chosen or are you going to somehow merge shit and end up with 2 of everyone except Bella (not going to lie, a threesome with Molly/MC/Molly sounds fucking fun)? Maybe a permanent way to travel between them?

I am new to this game, and I am trying to download all of the books. There was no problem with Book I, but with Book II, the win-64 file wouldn't even unzip. I got errors. I tried the win-32 file. It went slightly better, I could unzip it, and it seemed fine, but when I'd click on "New Game" it would freeze and not respond. Admittedly I haven't played Book I yet, but that should make the program freeze.

I am sorry if this question is addressed elsewhere in the thread. I am new to this game, and I didn't find it after searching the thread for awhile.

It's because it's >4GB in size; I've seen some people report similar issues with some versions of 7zip. Built in Windows zip file should work fine, as will winrar.

Apart from that, I've mostly seen strange errors like you report when someone decided to hide it in a deep/weird file path (c:\$porn# or a really long path). The underlying reason for that is that windows does (still) not like paths >256 characters, and the damned addressables are nested quite deeply into the system on their own. Unzipping it to c:\temp or c:\games\lom should fix that.

If you're on Steam, usually the game updates 2-3 / week (it's been slow the last week, since I've been on holiday with the family, but I'm finally back home at the workstation ).

I'm aiming for 6 acts for Book 3 (5 normal acts, one epilogue). That puts it at 11 updates (6 Act releases, 5 Act+ releases that expand the sandbox and add optional content). A normal act release usually takes ~2 months to complete, an Act+ somewhere between 4 and 6 weeks, depending on how much content there is, and what else is going on in my life. I'm done with Act XIII+ (so 13 out of 16 acts + epilogue), so I have 4 more acts to go, and 3 more Act+ sequences to go.

Once Book 3's done, that's it for MC, Emily, Katie, the Chosen and the rest of the cast of Love of Magic. I'll start another project, in an unreleated world. Though it's likely that some of the characters will rejoin me... so the next main heroine, while neither a Princess nor a Pendragon, might look a lot like Emily.

Chloe's the only one that came along from Making Movies, but I think a large chunk of the cast from Love of Magic will come along for the next one. Right now I'm planning for Emily, Katie, Molly, Bella and Chloe. It's somewhat inspired by what my favorite Manga artist, Rumiko Takahashi does with her characters... Ranma isn't Inuyasha, but they share similar personalities, flaws, and loves.

Glad to hear it, its kinda bittersweet to see good stories to end, but it helps alot to see the characters do cameos and continue there life.
