I just can't seem to explain very well...

You're right, there IS typically a deck icon in the upper right. Except when you are in Elsewhere, you know when you go through the portal in the pub basement? On the screen where you have the 3 Cards that you flip over to see what encounters you get to choose from? That, that screen, is what I'm talking about. Between or before battles, there is NO icon to click so you can change your Gem sets. Which could very well be intentional on the Devs part... though I can't imagine why for the love of all that is holy... nm.

Anyway, hopefully that is a sufficient explanation. I will grab a screen shot in a bit to illustrate if I have yet again failed to explain what I'm asking about.
Oh, I see what you're saying. Yeah, you're right. If you take on a Cambian, or another mob while a Cambian's aura is active, you're going to have to use the same deck you used in the previous battle. (Unless there's an exploit I'm unaware of.)

I think they want to change gems against the first strike monsters. I don't think you can, right?
Right, you can't. As soon as someone attacks your stuck with what you've got. But I was talking about between battles, while hunting on the paths.

Uh, I think I get what you're saying, but the aura thing with the Cambion doesn't make every enemy First Strike... I'm pretty sure.

Switching *in* combat is easy enough, just click on the Deck button before your first move/before your enemy makes the first move.
Yes, unless it's a First Strike type enemy. What I'm asking about is how can I switch gems before even getting into a battle?
I love your game Droid, lord knows I've played through it more times than I'd like to admit, but I cannot imagine a reason you can't switch your gems while just walking the paths between battles (obv not actually walking, the screen doesn't change).
I mean, you were cruel enough making us wait for Akane or Molly to charge in HARD mode... no sense being a sadist.

I'm adding a button to the next update. I'm also looking into offering full on localization support, thanks to a friendly LLM. I'm sure there'll be things that are broken, and I'm not sure if it'll always get the best translations, but at least it'll be an option for people who struggle with the english.

I take it back. Somehow I've never noticed that's how the Aura effect worked. Now, it makes more sense. Thanks for mentioning that.

Droid, if you're doing another update, I wanted to ask about something. A few of the mobs you fight in the higher levels have really low XP payouts. Mostly the Ace level enemies, like the Deep Dwellers, Lich Army and Chort I think. Some of them even payout less xp than the King level of the same type. If you want I can give you a list, of course if you'd prefer I just shut up and leave well enough alone I can do that too.

I AM dealing with book 1 right now (the first update just went out tonight, so... bring it on :)

Actionable items ("I think A and B and C are wrong because X...") is always better than generics ("You should fix the XP scales"), since that lets me make a quick call on agreeing/disagreeing, and fixing it if I agree. In general I know I play the game less than many of the players (I've got things like rendering and writing to do... :), so I'm usually really easy to convince with arguments like "Deep Dweller has 10,000hp and deals a lot of damage, but only gives 5,000xp, which would place him in the same reward category as a Daemon Knight"

Cool. I'll get you specifics when I fire it up later today. I just didn't want to assume you'd be cool with that.
AND, I have to say, I love the fact you're STILL updating this game/these games.

I didn't find one of every rank for every enemy type, I'm nearly positive there isn't one of each (9-Ace).

Difficulty HARD

Chort;

A Chort Warband XP= 6000
J Chort Lord XP= 32000
10 Chort Knight XP= 16000
9 Chort Soldier XP= 4000

Deep Dweller;

A Deepdwellers XP= 10000
K Deep Dweller Ice Lord XP= 30000
K Deep Dweller Toxic Lord XP= 30000
K Deep Dweller Fire Lord XP= 30000
J Deep Dweller Knight XP= 15000
10 Deep Dweller Soldier XP= 12000

Hellion;

K Hellion Warparty XP= 15000
J Hellion Captain XP= 15000

I couldn't find more of the Hellion types, just luck of the draw. But they DO have an Ace that is low on XP iirc. And I can't remember is the Chort has a King rank mob, but I didn't see one so obv it's not listed. And the Lich type only has one mob, Ace rank Lich Army XP= 8000, which might look like it's light on the XP... but I've never found them particularly challenging so I don't think that one matters. But that's just me.

That Hoe Over There.

It's slang for camgirls and internets hoes.
always heard it at the gyms and it was over 15 years ago before OF was even a thing!
it was used to describe attention whores who went around with those camel toe leggings!
basically any girl that was at the gym to get attention,
it started being used to the girls not wearing bras and those sports bras were so thin that you could see the full boobs!
and it ended up being used as a description for sluts who were up for anything...
once me and the guys got into that mentality...
lets say if you send the right guy to ask girls will do anything... with anyone!
so... its a dear acronym to me!

So for Do or DIE:
- Make sure you've completed her tentacle experience (talk to her until MC slips up and mentions DGN1, then go there one morning when you don't have classes, then talk to her afterwards)
- Then talk to her in the private library, where he'll mention Diana's bookstore
- Then check up on her there
- Then go see what she's up to at night in the private library.
