The girls look amazing, but I just can't get behind the 3 protagonists. The only time I like multiple protagonist is if its the Husband/Wife or similar type setups with Male/Female multiple protagonists.

So it sucks that this is 3 characters we have to control, otherwise I would of been interested. But I wish the dev luck regardless, maybe a future game of his will interest me more.
For me, multiple protagonists completely ruin the immersion, they lose their charm. Even more so with 3 protagonists, and all of them male...

Q: Is this gonna be a harem?

No, but you could see it as a pseudo-harem from the player's perspective. While the MCs are monogamous, you, the player who controls all three MCs can romance up to 3 LIs in a single playthrough. That's three times more than you could pick on your average non-harem game.
big yikes yikes to this kind of author, having many girls does not mean harem, this statement right here is already a warning on playing this game

Yeaaa... idk dude. Caught my attention with the girls in the banner, but I doubt this'll work out well.

Game will will prob take forever to develop and progress in since it's pretty much three games in one with alternating route updates. Switching between three protags seems like it'll be messy and immersion breaking af. What if a player doesn't like 1 or 2 of the protags or the girls on one of their routes?

Okay. Can we make it so that MC2 and MC3 don't have any romantic or sexual relationships with any LI?

Not 1, not 2, but 3 protag? Gotta be honest that scrams big mess, not to forget it will make impossible to relate the characters in a way making these type of games enjoyable. I like the art style, but I don't think I wanna play with 3 different protag.

Q: Why three protagonists instead of one? You should stick to just one.

Because it's called Love Strikes Thrice, not Love Strikes (Just the one time)

Q: Multiple protagonists, so is there gonna be NTR?

Each MC has their own set of LIs. While the entire cast might interact with each other, LIs and MCs stick to their respective groups and won't get involved sexually.

Q: Aren't you overburdening yourself with doing multiple protagonists and LIs?

No, because realistically I'd only be working on one MC, and three LIs at any given time considering the Act structure.

Also, the writing/script is way more ahead than you think. Major plot points have already been planned out as early as 2023. I already know how I'll end it. It's just that the rendering only started in 2025, but no, I'm not making things up as I go.

Q: Future tags?

Well, you already know there's no NTR, there won't be any other extreme ones either. In every second act of each MC, there will be a higher concentration of LI scenes since that's where things start to get serious in their relationships.

So expect a good variety of tastes, and also a way to opt out of it if it doesn't suit you. (There won't be a button toggle, more like weaved into the dialogue decisions.)

Q: What is the Act structure you're talking about? How does this all work, really?

In simple terms, it's really just 3 MCs played chronologically: MC 1, then MC 2, lastly MC 3's story. Each MC has 3 LIs they can pursue (9 in total).

Each MC has 3 acts to their story. Act 1 is the common route, Act 2 is the relationship route, Act 3 is a shorter one, and really just an epilogue.

Q: Is there any way you could do Y instead of X?

I made this game as a response to my need of X, as I thought there's already too many Y's.

There are so many games in this space, and you're not restricted to playing just one. I, myself, follow multiple games at a time of varying genres and tastes. There's no reason you can't do that as well.

That said, if you want to buy clothes... why are you at the soup store?
I have ZERO interest in the game after reading this.

As I said before, multiple protagonists remove any attachment and immersion for the player. What's the point of playing one character's story and then being forced to follow another's?

I think it wasnt meant to be taken seriously (the harem comment)
Thrice? That means 3 times

Shit do get messy.

"You will play as all three protagonists in chronological order, influencing their decisions in each of their respective arcs. It's better to think of it as one game in three parts, rather than three games in one.

Each protagonist will have a number of love interests available to them. Whoever's available to one, might not be for another. So don't fret if you think you missed your chance, you'll meet them again later on!

Idk if those dev notes help make you feel better... Is it NTR if you cuck your former self?

Sounds like it might be hard to get invested. I don't mean to come off as negative though. Sorry
No if you read the Faq its stated each MC has its OWN 3 LI's to pick from so no your not cucking any of the charecters.

I know, it was just a dumb joke question.

Actually I removed that comment, I don't want ppl to see my post and think that actually happens.

First off, I do wish the dev the best, but it feel like this is going to have a hard time. And the logic of, "It's called Love Strikes Thrice" meaning that "of course I must have 3 MCs," is just silly. A single MC meeting and falling for three girls also means that "love struck thrice."

This seems like such a weird choice that it has got to be one of the most elaborate ways I've seen a dev try to have multiple girls who are shown with multiple guys in a way that "doesn't count" as NTR, swinging, or voyeurism. Each Mc has 3 girls but has to pick one (but then dev make a joke about it is a "sort of harem," which feels like a dick thing to do but maybe not) and then you have to waste time with other guys who bang other girls and also don't get harems.

If this honestly wasn't some weird twisted way to sneak in some pseudo-NTR, sharing, or voyeurism then it was a mistake and would have been much better served having three separate games and not doing some weird three part game where the MCs and the girls all interact and stuff.

Multiple protagonists games rarely work because people will like one more and the other two will be a waste of time. If someone doesn't like the first one then they will likely drop the game and then not even meet the other two when they get their chapters (Edit: which if it wasn't one game but three separate ones wouldn't be a problem since you could eventually play each one separately and in any order).

However, if someone really likes the first one best then why bother even playing as the next two since you got your happy ending. That is, if you're willing to play despite it not being a harem meaning the two girls you reject as each MC will probably be off "living their life" with some other guy off screen but you'll probably hear about it since this whole things feels like a veiled way to shoehorn in "not technically NTR" and such content. Also, say you really connect and like one MC, well you are forced to meet hot girls (who you might prefer over the one you are forced to pick from), but you know they will (and you will eventually see them) fuck other guys. "But it's okay because those other guys are MCs too!"

But I'm rambling, clearly I'm not the target audience, and maybe the dev will find one, though again, I think it'll be an uphill battle. We'll see in the long run.
