It's not. The dev has a problem with their hardware. They need time to gather funds to buy a new GPU, to continue the development.
...so it's dead.

understand that every fucking single dev in the history of ren'py visual porn novels has used that exact bullshit excuse, for when they're lying about their lack of progress. go foreward a few months, and there still won't be anything but more excuses or complete silence. this is how they always go.

when a dev starts making ANY excuses that push update releases further into the future, just know that it's always bullshit! whether it's because the dev doesn't have the motivation to keep making progress and just can't or doesn't want to admit it, or because they wanna milk whatever money they're still getting, they're never going to deliver.

it's over.

What a horrible take!

Their Patreon was put on pause a long time ago. So nobody is milking anything. The dev can't buy a new GPU that's it. Nothing more, nothing less.

all you took from my post was the milking angle? dude...

be the reason whatever, the dev is stalling!

he's propably just not been working on it very much, and now people are asking questions, so he puts out the most common BS excuse.

like I said. this shit has happened time and time again with many devs. and it's always one of the two, either the dev is milking it or for whatever reason, they're just not working on it enough.

the next thing you know he's coming up with another made up excuse or he'll just stop communicating all together.
the point is, they're most likely not going to deliver updates to this and will likely just stop working on it.

There are no made-up excuses. They don't have the hardware to continue their work. They are as upfront about it as they can be.

I'm a bit confused here. Not sure if you have more contact to the dev or are a Patron, but none of your mentioned infos can be found anywhere. Not here on F95zone or on his/her/their Patreon page. Only thing we can see is the stop of communication quite after the v0.1 demo here or a hidden "Progress Update" post on Patreon months ago. Since then: radio silence. Would be maybe better for the dev to make a little info post, at least on the Patreon page.

I asked them a long time ago. That's when I found out about the hardware problem and posted about it.

just because they say that, doesn't make it true. it's called lying. which is exactly my point.
Wow, you sure see only the negativity. That would be still ok, it's your opinion. I actually also think it's a 50/50 chance this gets continued. But badmouthing someone else and calling him a liar without proof is something else. Ignored from now on.

can you post the email or communication they sent? for the most part they had the GPU for the demo, so whyyy dont they have the GPU for the continued development? i mean its been 6 months with no news, and like not even a post on f95 stating anything stuff, so there's really not alot here saying hes not doing any milking or abandonment here, the page still seems active and taking the money but i mean it seems like it woulda been better to put the project on hold till its actively being developed again...

I already posted it. See above. Last I checked the Patreon page is still on pause. It's been on pause since November. So no, they don't get any money when the page is on pause.

The dev stated on his Itcho.io page that "the first episode will be released this year." five days ago.....
