Could you please add a way to rebind keys or change them? Not every computer has pageup/down keys and if you don't it's impossible to dismiss companions.

Edit: nevermind, game is a waste of time. Play for hours walking around like an idiot for 0 scenes and if you skip class game teleports you to get punished at night and you are permanently stuck.

Not sure how development is going to go here, but at least playing through the first week-ish in game I honestly feel this might have worked better as a VN with a time slot mechanic rather than a standard-but-story-driven RPGMV game. There's a lot of dead space in the game that involves walking back and forth across the same scenery. Sure, it's "realistic", but it also adds unnecessary drag to the game and makes everything feel like a chain of fetch quests in the same small area. Doubly so as there's very little the player can really interact with.

Game bug for some reason if you join the basketball club the game becomes buggy as fuck, there is literally no other way for me to explain other than the whole event of the first day in club repeats over and over and I thought it was how the club worked but the shit keeps going on the same loop over and over again and it's getting boring. I know there won't be a fix on the game anytime soon but can we at least get some update over this?

Yes the quest in my bag is now 2 not one and it's getting on my nerve now.

The game has many game choices ;) , it would be hard to save any.

It is very interesting, unfortunately there are too many bugs in the game:mad:
On Saturdays we have morning classes and there is a description informing us about the lack of classes

The most serious bug is the exams:mad:, I keep failing them with required statistics exceeding the minimum for the weeko_O

There is no information about relationships with girls;

It seems to me that breakfasts and lunches don't give anything:sleep:

Interesting facts: A date with a librarian is possible :)

Annoying: Our roommate, I don't know if I can go on a date with her
Unfortunately, in this game aren't boys, which is a shame :cry:
It's a shame bcs it would have been nice to see our main character in a relationship with a boy -> >-o :LOL:

Hello everyone!

Love's Heart has been removed from itch.io due to their new policies, so I don't think I'll be able to continue it. Currently, it can only be downloaded through my Patreon (free). I don’t think anyone will be interested in a game that likely won’t be updated again, but if anyone has any questions about the game, I’ll be happy to answer them. I'm sorry I didn’t reply to the questions that came up in this thread — I didn’t see them until recently and they’re from over a year ago.

Love's Heart 0.43:

In case anyone’s interested, I’m currently working on a remake of this game called United by Love’s Heart. It no longer uses anime-style graphics and it’s made in Ren’Py and has a more mature tone so that it can be available on Steam. You can search for the title on Steam, and here’s the latest version from my Patreon, also free of charge.

United by Love's Heart 0.13:

Have a good day.

Hi,
I found this game by accident. I already ended almost all route. Even if this game had some bugs it was still pretty fun to play.
Many route to try, quite interesting characters, colorful world. After i read that you abandon this game to make a remake i was a little sad. I already play remake but for me it's so much worse than original in rpg maker. Sure original it was in anime style but world, facial expression and writing style was quite unique. All characters look different and had some personality.
After playing remake for example all characters look the same for me now and world is so much worse in all.
I see that you have many games in your history, trying update all of them and asking us what we want.
So if you want some advice go back to your rpg maker version, fix bugs, add new content and after people discover game by accident like me they will love it to try.

Hello!

First of all, thank you for playing my game and for your kind words! I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying it so far.

Regarding what you mentioned—no, I didn’t put the game on hold specifically to make a remake. I did it because Love’s Heart was rejected by both Steam and even itch.io. Yes, my game is free, but Steam and itch.io would have given me more visibility to attract people to my Patreon or buyers for the early access version, which helped make working on the game financially viable. It’s not permanently cancelled; if the situation improves, I will continue working on it. But I’m sure you understand I need to prioritize projects that bring in more income. Otherwise, I won’t be able to work on Love’s Heart or any other game at all. That’s where the idea for the remake came from—the remake was approved on Steam. As for itch.io, well, they now have some nasty policies that led them to reject it too. I’m currently appealing their decision, hoping they’ll reconsider.

I’m the biggest fan of the original Love’s Heart—if I could, I’d even remake it in Unity so the game and illustrations would stay the same, but you’d be able to move around a 3D environment. And you know, I’m actually working with an artist to replace the VRoid illustrations I made with commissioned art.

My remake has one issue that quite a few people have pointed out—in fact, some even liked it—and that’s the change from anime-style art to realistic art. I understand it’s not pleasant to adjust to such a drastic change, especially since I now have to present characters who look more physically realistic and less striking. I can no longer have characters with pink or green hair—that would look odd if we’re trying to resemble real life.

I understand that you don’t like that aspect, but I don’t understand the rest. Facial expressions in the original version were also limited—I can only work with what my character generator allows me. Some very long scenes have been shortened, and new ones have been added to expand the story. There are now more routes, the characters’ personalities are still the same, and you can now see them move and interact with the campus through sequences of images, instead of being limited to the static illustrations of each one, like in a traditional visual novel. Why do you say all the characters look the same and that the world is worse in every way? Navigating the map is now easier, faster, and more comfortable—you just click where you want to go. If you’d like to give me more detailed feedback, I’d be happy to hear it.

Regarding the bugs in the original version, if you could tell me which ones you’ve found, I’d appreciate it.

Hi,
Now let's get down to specifics.
What happened to your games is not because they are incorrect. It is because of the recent drama that took place on Steam and a game that should not have been there due to its drastic content.
You can look up information about how Mastercard forced Valve to remove games with similar themes.
And it's not just your game, but many others that are now being removed from Steam.
Your best option is to simply wait and improve your game until the issue dies down.

Secondly, yes, facial expressions were limited, but each character was unique in their own way. You could easily tell that this character, for example, was more shy or courageous.

Now, most characters look like they have the same face with a different hat on their head.

As for the static animation, I agree with you that it is much better done in the remake. But there are also games on RPG Maker that have well-done animations and character sounds. I am referring to anime-style games.

Indeed, at first the map at the start is too overwhelming, but after playing for a while, you get used to it. The biggest problem was its illegibility and poor marking, which could have been easily solved.
And simple map in rpg maker was more pleasing to the eye to watch than now.

Another thing that was annoying was the fact that you had to take exams every week that you couldn't skip in any way, or classes on weekends that shouldn't have been there.
Of course, these bugs were easy to fix and did not interfere drastically with enjoying the game but still they irritated.

Another thing you mentioned is that many people complain about the change from anime-style to realistic art.
And it's true, the characters now look like completely different people. It's as if they've magically aged 30+ years, whereas before they were 20+.
I understand the change in style, but they are totally different characters now.

I understand the financial motives.
But if you adapt your games to a system that changes more often than gloves, you will lose more your time than you earn.

Your game has potential, but first you need to take care of it. Don't create another game or remake once you've managed to gather a group of players who were interested in your first game. And focus on your best title trying to upgrade it and manage to catch even more player base.

I hope that my comments have helped you at least a little.
I will wait patiently wait for you to decide to return to the original version of Love's Heart.

Love’s Heart was banned on Steam because they considered the characters looked under 18 in a school setting; it had nothing to do with the new policies. At the moment, the only problems are on itch.io, which banned Love’s Heart due to those new policies—a different reason than Steam.

Well, the characters made in VRoid Studio also had the same face; what changed was the hairstyle and makeup. I think they only stood out more and seemed more charismatic because, being anime, I had more freedom to give them extravagant hairstyles or hair colors you wouldn’t see in real life.

Yes, clearly there are RPG Maker games with many more animations than mine and with more effort put into them. I went for simplicity to take less time.

Well, I tried to make a nice map for the university in the remake, as well as for the student residence and the rooms, and decorated it as best I could. I’m sorry it doesn’t please you.

Actually, those points are improved in the remake. In the remake, exams aren’t implemented yet, but they won’t be mandatory. If you don’t show up, you simply get a 0. And there are no longer classes on Saturdays. Sundays were never in the original Love’s Heart. If you’re mentioning this as feedback so I can fix it in the original Love’s Heart, I can do that too. In fact, if you play on Easy mode (I’m not sure if you did), you can skip all classes except for the Monday exam. Although, well, you’re playing a school simulator after all. If you remove school completely, where’s the fun in that?

Honestly, I think you’ve exaggerated a lot. I don’t consider any character to appear over 30 years old except for Professor Mia. Regarding them being “totally different,” as I said, they couldn’t have extravagant hair colors. Apart from that, I tried to make them resemble their original versions as much as possible with the options the character creator gave me. I understand Kokoro has a big impact because she lost her characteristic pink hair, but other characters like Yuri, Katsune, Fuyu, and Haruna herself, I think, came out very similar.

I appreciate your faith in my game, but I started developing Love’s Heart a long time ago, and all I’m facing are visibility problems since, as I said, Steam and itch.io rejected it. It’s definitely the most famous game I have, but as I said, if I don’t make money from releasing other games or trying to get more visibility for Love’s Heart through the remake, I won’t be able to work on Love’s Heart or anything else. And I think that would be the worst.

Thank you for your comment. About the things you don’t like in the original Love’s Heart, I’ll try to fix them. Regarding the remake, honestly, I think you like the original too much to give the remake a serious chance—or you haven’t played it enough, since some of the points you mention seem a bit strange to me. Have you played the latest update, the one that includes Chapter 1?

Nah No need to apologize, it's just a game.. I just give feedback and try to help to improve^^
What i said about map and bugs it was mention to original Love Heart. Not to the remake.

My reservations about the remake mainly concerned the fact that the characters look like they are over 30 years old and almost look the same.
And a map that was rather bland. But it's not your fault, it's the engine you're working in.
Yes i try playing remake. Even after last patch you released but it's just look's like new game for me and that's all.

I dont know about itch.io but what i tell about steam was true. Your game not get approval bcs steam had this whole drama. And now try fix it somehow.
If you look on steam before this whole drama. You will see games with characters that was looking much, much more younger than in your game.

I just trying to give advice. If you make bunch similar games you will not earn any money at all.
If you look at other game creator here they have only 1-2 games that are working with at the same time.
It's yout decision what you gonna do. I'm glad to hear that you dont abandon your original game.
I will wait patiently for new updates fororiginal version
So good luck.

Yes, I was also referring to the original Love’s Heart—I’m saying I can try to fix those bugs as well. If you think of other things to improve or any bugs you’ve experienced, feel free to tell me too.

No, as I’ve said, the reason Steam banned my game had nothing to do with the payment processor controversy, because it happened before that started. And I’ve already said the reason—they considered my characters looked underage in a school setting. However, if you say there are NSFW games on Steam with characters who look younger than mine, could you give me an example, please? That could be useful for me to write to Steam and try to appeal their decision.

Yes, but those game developers managed to achieve a lot of success with just one game. I don’t have that kind of success, haha. And even less now, since Love’s Heart has lost a lot of visibility due to the payment processor issues.

Nah you can try fix this bugs in free time. I was waiting for new content . And after read you make a remake and after read it i though you abandon your original version.

But there is one most irritating feature i have experienced. Why we can't have info about points we had from exam in the same day we got test?
I got not once situation where after exam i got quest "go to literature class" but when i go in i only got my result from test i write previous day. And after that i must skip all day bcs of that.

Second you ask me if i try easy mode or play normal. I play both but normal version took too many your real time and irritaiting you with so many repetable content.
And of course i aggree with you it's school game. But i think there is possibility to make it more casual friendly for new players without much cost.
Because im gonna say i see your game long time ago but after try it for 15 min i refuse to play more bcs how it was not friendly at start to play.
But after give it a chance it is realy good game with some bugs.

Yeah bcs other game developers try catch attention with one main game. And for that you must just try upgrade your game and promote it.

Yes, you can technically know your grade the same day. When the exam ends, depending on how well or badly you did, Haruna will have a reaction that already tells you your score. For example, if Haruna says:
“It was a total disaster…”
then you failed. If she says:
“I think I’ll narrowly pass.”
it means you’re going to pass, but barely.
And if she says:
“I knew all the questions!”
it means you’ll pass with the highest grade.

As for why I made it so you have to wait a day to officially receive your grade, I think it was to give a somewhat realistic amount of time for Professor Mia to grade the exams—just like in real life.

Yes, many people complained about the repetitive parts, which is why I made the Easy difficulty to make everything faster.

I can improve my game, but I’m afraid I don’t know how to promote it, haha. Marketing is not my strong suit.
