Honestly, this is so misleading. Don't call it a Ren'Py port when its just a gallery viewer. This should be in the Mod section.

Thank you for your hard work. However, I expected this to be a great port game, but in reality, it's just a picture viewer! I'm very disappointed. Personally, I hate viewing pictures directly without any plot buildup. It's no different from looking at regular pictures online!

Just read a review here where the dev was accused of making a scammy cash grab? How is it a scam when the dev clearly states what the "game" is? How is it a cash grab when the dev releases it for free shortly after paid releases. I knew what this "game" was before I downloaded it for FREE. Anyone who didn't, only has themselves to blame. Looking forward to the devs next port. Also, I hope the dev is eventually able to hone his craft enough to produce his own game. When I can, I will definetly sub to contribute to the devs quest for better hardware. Thanks Doshima!

I guess it's because a lot of people don't understand nuance. It might be a language barrier thing or a being-dumb-as-bricks thing but for them it's either 1 or 0. It's either a game or a scam. No in-between.

If the dev promptly tells people that it's basically just a gallery and if there is a demand for just the gallery (however big or small that demand may be), then it's not a scam. It's not a game but it's still far from a scam.

Thanks for this.. I was stuck for ages trying to get the photo of Annie's sleeping BJ. then my hard drive broke down and I lost the whole game. After watching these clips I've now seen how it ends, and also what was stopping me progressing further in the game

I think you're right. Definetly just people being dumb as bricks. Not only does the dev tell you exactly what's included in the dev notes(which he encourages people to read before downloading), he also explains the contents when starting the "game".

Doshima : Renaming this thread as "gallery viewer" instead of "Ren'Py port" (that usually means the full game is ported) should solve any discussion or confusion, I suppose. When reading that title people expect the usual complete game ported to Renpy, not just the sex scenes extracted.

Based on other ren'py ports I've played they tend to cut stuff out, especially sandbox gameplay. I didn't see any complaints on those threads, certainly not people getting offended about only the sex, or only the story getting ported instead of the entire game as is. If the dev ported the entire story instead of just sex scenes, or scenes that eventually lead to sex, these people would be saying it's a story viewer not a proper game, therefore it should be removed/renamed/etc.

So your suggestion isn't helpful because ignorant of the motivation behind these posts - trying to "win" online against someone who, in this case, hasn't even done anything to them.

The game already have a gallery mod, there is no need for a second one. Also the dev already wrote, he wanted to do a "real" port but gave up and so we have now this lame 0815 gallery mod named "port". -.-

My bad, I never realized you replied.

Although, all things aside I wouldn't be opposed to a renpy port of the game with a lot of proofreading. It was never the "grind" that killed my interest, it was the terrible spelling and grammar that gave me a headache. Maybe some day ... .
