I often check the last pages to see some general feedback of a game or the game's last update, I won't put this into reviews just yet because of how early it is, but here goes a review (that I don't think should go just yet in Reviews)
Pros: Graphics, which "unfortunately" is what makes even the most grindiest of games worth going through when they are good enough, is not a graphics>gameplay argument is just that we play these for 1 thing.
The game looks stunning, makes me wish I was there, even environment wise I mean.
Cons:
Where to start?
1) Padding, grinding, there is so much of it I would have straight up stopped playing if not for being able to edit the save file, you got hacking, programming, education, style, confidence, hunger, energy and I think I missed some, why load it with all these features if they are just numbers to grind?
Speaking of grind, the interlocked quest with the movies and the pool talk on saturday-sunday I can't even imagine doing it legit, I would do a tidbit there and then wait 6 days and is not like I can skip them if I play legit, because hunger, style, energy and fitness and that other stat go down, which negatively affect you and the relationship you have with people, if you go to sleep even with all your stats maxed out the relationship go down, at this point I just edit the save file to jump to 8 AM without sleeping.
2) The Interface: a) Some elements are just invisible b) no text speed or rollback option c) supposedly you can look into each character's quest, which is a great idea, because one might miss out or even forget what they could do with that character and when, except that most of the time the game does not tell that you are done with that quest for the update, I had to download a CG dump just to check if I had done everything.
3) Save/Load, so you want to save scum eh? Well sure you can save anytime but you can't load back to a dialogue, you are not even sent to the same room.
4) Gameplay, puzzles are okay, but once I have mastered a scene, why do I have go through all those steps again? The skill check, the different prompts, might as well add a QTE while at it.
5) Every render is legit great but why not have more writing? You already got the talking people rendering, give it some more flavour to justify going through all these in-game days, so we can get to know these people, instead of reading the same dialogues over and over again before progressing a scene with the characters acting like something has happened for the first time.
6) Why is this an "open" world game? Why not make it a Visual novel with different choices/paths ? How does it benefit from not being done like that? At least with "the Twist" you can go around the place and always have something you can do or re-do, and you are explicitly told when something is done or unfinished, plus you can also skip days and the RNG is much more tolerable and manageable.
That said I look forward to this game's updates.
