Maybe, but again we don't know the circumstances of his personal life, a health problem or getting familiar will always be more important than a porn game.
No, when they can't even make a post within 6+ months to let people know what's going on, then it's as good as dead.
You don't even need a computer to post an update, can be done on your phone.

This, just like Midlife Crisis, Ecchi Sensei and so many others is so far beyond "just wait, he's probably really busy IRL" that considering anything other than dead is fanciful.

Seems what they all have in common is they are all 6yo+. Devs really should plan on ending their AVN after 5 years at most for several reasons, starting to look dated and almost everyone including the devs themselves will be getting tired of it by then 2 of those. Also blows my mind that even though it's abandoned 147 people are still paying him (or paying his corpse if he died). Hell if you wanna throw away money and get nothing for it just Paypal it to me. If it were me any month there's no update is a month that I don't pay them, it's not like that unsub or pause button is hard to find.

and yet we havent had an update for Summertime Saga for more than six months and it doesnt have an abandoned tag on it.
There's probably a sign of life of some sort with that dev, even if just a Discord post saying "hi". If it seems like the dev may as well have died irl then it's abandoned after 6 months instead of 18 (when devs in that club usually just stop working on their AVN without actually saying so and string subs along with some useless weekly wallpaper).

It's along the same line of reasoning as to why I laugh at people who think that Summer's Gone will ever get finished.
That Dev has told us how many chapters it will have to be considered complete [16 chapters to go] and yet after years of work, and also doing a rework once already because the renders looked dated, it still has 16 years of development left at the current pace.

It isn't going to happen. He isn't suddenly going to switch from making one chapter per year to making 8 and getting it done in just two more years of dev time.
On top of that he'll feel that the renders are outdated again and have to redo them all.

I've never heard of an AVN getting an abandoned tag removed once tagged with one anywhere. Even coming back from on hold more often than not ends up being just a pit stop to abandoned.
seen few times after dev returns to game and releases update which comes here.
