I once started playing this game, but sandboxes scare me, as soon as I remember about the grind or the lack of choice in sandboxes, I lose interest. But I agree the renders here are beautiful

There is only money and combat stats to imprive in Sandbox. The entire story is event based. And you can easily check in the scheduler what's possible to do and port to the location. Once that becomes part of the story, be aware that you can only pick the blue flower on Tuesdays. It will show in the scheduler on that day, just don't be confused if it's not there on other days (that can happen if one - like me - doesn't read the story properly and misses the Tuesday part).
Click the lost books when you see them, there are four available on each day, one either in the living room or in the bathroom of the campus, the other three in the university, the locations are random. Apart from getting a little extra money or house points, you need to collect a certain number (not many, but it's something to keep in mind) to unlock one story arc with the librarian.
House points are only important in S1, only the winner house gets to make a trip to the city on weekends. In later seasons all houses get there, but the winner gets a few bucks as reward. Once the duels start, they are the easiest way to win the competition.
This Harry Potter hommage can be little bit annoying until you get the hang of it.

It's basically like S3, except with the added "fun" of Groundhog Day puzzles in the latest release where you have to repeatedly pick the correct answer in a sequence or get sent back to the start with "time travel" because something "hilariously" kills you. Like death by electrocution, death by vampire thot, death by explosion, death by dragon, death by fucking bees...you god damn name it.
Enjoy spending 15 minutes swearing.

I just started the first season or chapter or whatever it is and 5 minutes in I have to ask:
is the writing always going to be this terrible? I feel like some of it might be a translation issue if the writers don't speak English natively (there have been several idioms/expressions that don't feel like anything in English that I know) but all the dialogue is just so stilted and clumsy and a bunch of things that are said make no sense in the context of what I think is supposed to be going on.
It just feels like someone's bad first draft story that hasn't had any feedback or editing.
