But it is from the perspective of the MC. Even not taking this admittedly vague stipulation, the MC is the one getting cucked or not in the story. Not whoever is playing it. Immersion only goes so deep and there is a wide range of mixed feelings and opinions. if things were take from then player's perspective. Some would say a 3some of any kind is netorare. Suddenly every thread that has FFM in it gets the ntr and swinging(yes ive seen people that want this) tag which just isn't indicative of what is in the game, much less matching the actual definitions of the words. People put their own subjective perspective above objective fact all the time. Someone doesnt like the way the MC responds to a another npc? LIMP DICK MC CUCK MC. NTR NTR.IGNORE.
I know you have seen it. You know how it is, any content that rubs anyone the wrong way is apparently X or Y tag regardless of what it actually is just because they don't like it.
So if the MC likes sitting in the cuck chair, it shouldn't be tagged as cuck content because the player might not like it and call it cuckoldry, but MC calls it love

It IS about the player, it IS about the narrative purpose of a scene, what emotion is designed to evoke in the
reader, what sort of audience is targeting, that might coincide with the MC default reaction, or might not.

obviously, the dev will write it so that the MC will love seeing them kiss but to me (the player) it doesn't even matter as that one poor decision killed any interest I had in those characters, a clear stab in the back to the MC who will love it in the next update doesn't mean the player will.
This could have been easily avoided if Jess and MC had already gone on a date but they haven't, so far she is just another one of the bros. and if your bro did that you'd kill him and Lucy would be on the street where she belongs, but no the double standard is crazy.
Honestly, that ending was not the best. But you can work with that. Make the MC leave. Cause honestly I feel like most guys would. I would think she payed for the lapdance to steal the other girl away. The girls should of course see him leaving and be texting him all night and into the morning to kinda explain what went down during that lapdance.
Its fixable just that ending left a sour taste. So now you can use this to end a little spicy or drama.
Unfortunately it won't bring people back, but this is the only way to 'fix' it outside of total rewrite and its 100 times better than MC just being ok with it.
