I Think i found out how to fix the problem were you cant leave the bonus area:
As any other player that wants to get the good stuff faster, i gave myself a lot of coins to buy all. All i did was revert the huge amount i added with save editor and went for example, from 999999, to 20 and that let me get out of the room when wanting to do so, avoiding the freeze.

Just retry and it might work. Or you can install the patch I posted a few posts up and that will fix it too.my game freezes after code input...
