If you have a v96102 ... there is no crash ... at this point (your screen capture) it's just the end of the game.

The patch will work if you start a new game
It is not compatible with the latest version 96

Have you (or someone else maybe) a brand new save? Maybe at 75% completed story. So I can continue avoiding a fresh start (again). Pls?

it isn't a sledgehammer but a pick axe. You get the item in the security room on the 2th floor after you picked up the jumping shoes (after you turned on 7 radiators) [Hard mode]
