I changed that variable and now it works , try this save page 5 slot 1.
If there is again the problem you have something strange in your game
You have another variable = spanish , store._nvl_language , changed also this , save page 5 slot 2

I just started a new game. I quit the game and then went to the main menu. You may just have to download the game again because that bug was fixed.

(I didn't play that version, I was still using the 0.3 on which I had applied unren; therefore to update I had deleted everything except the "save" folder and the "unren-dev.rpy" file )
