If you have it in your backpack and when you press the "?" and it says to watch the movie on the TV in the living room. That's when you should watch it.
That part is easy. Go into her room, when she asks if you want to help her cam, say no, but want to talk to her about something else instead. Then it will give you the choice to remind her of the studio, and select that, sit back and that's it.
That was how I did it, so Idk, maybe you missed something further back. No idea what, but that's the only thing I could think of why they didn't give you that choice.
