A Ren'Py game that pops up ads opens backdoors? Just...wow. I don't think you understand how these things work.Because there is a "backdoor" in place that delivers the ads and it leads out in the internet. Your firewall won't help you since you unlocked that door to be able to play. You might trust whomever you unlocked it for (in this case Inceton) but he is not the only one who will be able to use it under a lot of circumstances.
You can shut the ads off and don't see them, but there is still that backdoor and it very much could be used by others.
Same reason that you HAVE to use an ad blocker while surfing. It is not about seeing or not seeing ads - most people don't much care either way, but that there is no possibility to control possible malware that could use the openings that ad streams use...and even the people/sites/platforms utilizing the ad stream to make a buck don't have full control. Yeah, even the fricking Washington Post or the Guardian can NOT control everything that runs through these channels they inculde in their offers. Much less a lone little developer.
THAT is why it is not a great idea...
Awesome! thanks!Hey. Thanks You can play past content in the phone re-live app
That's an interesting way to kill your game. Well it is a free market.
There is a difference between a "free market" and "free games". Actually, in a Free market, nothing is "free" since it is, *cough*. a market. In a free market, people spend their money on what they please. To make it short: Free market = No one interferes with the business, Regulated Market = Government interference. What user TiffanyMonroe was saying is that, in the end, it is your consumers/patrons who get to choose whether they will spend their money on your product or not... And, example; implementing potentially unpopular elements; changing the way you do business; being verbally aggressive; etc.,etc.,etc., can lead them to spend their money elsewhere.Well you see the game isn’t actually free... Nothing is free not even this site where you download “free games”. [...]
At the main title, check below the settingswhere do i type to unlock the bonus content?
after playing some more i noticed another issue. Thanks! Yeah it bothers us to... but it was to late to fix it we just didn’t have the time to render it out unfortunately. We are currently rendering animations on a rig with 4x1080ti (adding more cards crashes daz) and that animation took 50 hours to render out on 5000 iterations per frame. But hey! At least the quality is good xD
Yes I do. Did so for more than 20 years now. On occasion look up RTB (Real-Time-Bidding) Malvertisement ,A Ren'Py game that pops up ads opens backdoors? Just...wow. I don't think you understand how these things work.
That's such a load of crap. These are all existing models and you won't find a game here that doesn't use some that are also used in other games, often with very little changes. Not exactly the same but a poor attempt at copy/pasting Milfy City...start getting used to sleazy Devs stealing ideas/characters from other much more popular games to rake in some of that $$$ and if the greed is not obvious enough, this is the first time that I see ads in a game like this.
Imagine being worried about people playing your game for free when you yourself stole the content/ideas to make the game in the first place, the irony is tangible..
...but then again, people are more than happy to pay for lesser but stolen content, so is it really the Dev's fault for being shitty if people keep enabling this kind of behavior ? no, no it's not.
The gallery unlocks after you put in the Bonus Content Code on the phone (As it says the first time you open the gallery). =)I dont care about the ads what I would like to see is the gallery and slut code because I would like to see extra scenes if watching ads helps support the game I'm fine with that since I cant support it another way but I just wish that some of the other content wasnt locked
They do have the rollback now(mousewheel UP) and there are some stories in the Relive app on the phone, maybe check those out too. It has the lewder scenes available for replay.Ads didn't bother me, I even clicked on them to give you some help if it was pay per click. I think I may have mentioned it, but I really would like to play through some of the already past content. Even if we succeed it would add some extra meat to the games smaller bit of content, especially between updates.
I mean if I'm going to be stuck in groundhog day, I would definately want to relive the good bits!
Could you elaborate more on the "backdoor"? I checked the code surrounding the ad part and, if I understand it correctly, it just skips the links if the Remove Ads code is active. Also, the website it leads too is their official website(it even has a LOT less ads unless you access it directly through this "pirated" method), not a random one. Isn't that reasuring a little at least?Because there is a "backdoor" in place that delivers the ads and it leads out in the internet. Well, there is a choice to actually completely REMOVE a character(Zoe) from the game(Though, I believe it's only remove her storyline, she'll still appear as a side character in other people's storylines (like Megan's).Sooo. I cant submit a review so I'll do it here.
Do you like games?
Do you like on the rails games?
Do you like games where you have a fake sense of autonomy but don't really want to commit to a decision?
This game is for you!
No more will you have that pesky problem of your choices have consequences. If shit hits the fan, you get to just do it again!
Seriously I know that is where the whole plot is focused but I really wish there was more... point to it all. It gives you choices and you just have one optimal choice through the conversations... if you deviate... try again on the reset.
I personally found it tedious and lackluster. You may not. Give it a try though and if you like it, support it.
