We have began with renders for Lust Theory S2E9, and the story is planned to be finished in about two weeks. Time for the release is still set for end of July. It will be a tight squeeze and we will be working overtime for this but it'll be definitely worth it. After all, it will be the grand finale of the 2nd season! And it should be because, the 3rd season is something you certainly don’t expect and is kind of a totally different... plot? I'm just rambling here, but you'll see for yourself.

More info for season 3 will be spilled when the time is right.

Lust Theory S2E9 is in full drive and renders are coming out great! Now, don't get me wrong, because when I said it will be complicated, I meant it. And we'll need a lot of time, nerves and probably to get trough this one, because, after all, it has to be the most mind blowing experience for this final episode where you'll have so much options, you couldn't keep track on what the fuck is going on. (Good thing we have save buttons.) Even we have to stop and think while developing this masterpiece whilst Vivix is smirking and watching DEVs reading her story in disbelief. But, this is the foundation of a good story for the game... Right? We sure hope so.

Hello!

This weekly will be short but sweet.

Why, you ask?

Well, currently, as you know, we are working on Lust Theory S2E9. And as much I want to tell you some spicy details, some
things are still better left as a surprise. Right?

Lust Theory S2E9 is coming out great. Although, the team had already a few complications with the scenes and I'm afraid
that's only the beginning. But the scenes WILL be extra.

The team is separated in two groups. One group works on main story, and the other on bonus events which are about 50% done and there are 7 of them. One of the bonus events is one of your favorites which is... Yup! You guessed it! Zero fuck's given!

See? That's literally everything I can say about Lust Theory for now. Shitty, huh?

And other things I cannot talk about are... NEW GAMES! We are currently working on new characters and plots, but that's all I can say just yet.

Buuut, one thing I can show you is some office pics and beautiful renders! Let's check them out.

Don't forget to follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Tik Tok, because you really don't want to miss our daily posts. Trust me.

More detailed info on Lust Theory, future games, streams and merch coming soon.
But for now, have a great rest of the day and a fun weekend!

Byeee!

Wonder what the huge change in Plot will be, cause Season 2 was pretty bad writting wise(not that this game has good writing), felt rushed in some ways, and nonsensical in others. Hoping we really start pealing back the layers of the simulation alot, because the in-simulation story has overstayed it's welcome(only so much you can do with Groundhog day again and again), in truth never really felt like they set up or leveraged that aspect of the narrative well.

Yeah, I see what you mean about that time loop. I believe that the writing problem comes from the fact that the plot is not written in advance. Admittedly, it becomes difficult to expand the story in an interesting way that surprises the player about what might happen when the writing depends on player feedback. The MC's actions and reactions try to revolve around a single goal, which is to jump on anything with two legs and a pair of tits, which he does perfectly. I'm curious to see how this story will evolve, and I think there are still ideas that remain untapped. Even while remaining a prisoner of this groundhog day, I think it would have been interesting to work around the hidden scenes, integrating them plainly into the main plot so that they have an influence on the main story. Then starting from the different branches thus created, break this loop and see the Mc face the multiple consequences of his choices perhaps? And maybe also create some interactions between SWM and LOT?

Hi guys,

Anyone had a problem with Jessica's sex scene?
It seems that I'm stuck and cannot finish this scene. I cannot even click on other options "medium or fast"... x_x

Are you using the official version or any fan-made version (Android, Compressed etc.)? I had no issues with the current official versions.

really?! i get taking fan input, but basing your story around that is a horrible idea. The writer should always have a general idea of what they want to do, especially if their taking on a challenge like Groundhog day. I get why this is so poorly written now.

The MC's character doesn't really make much sense to me, at least not in regards to his family. From what i gather his Liz seems to be a really good Mother, loving, caring, takes care of her kids, puts up a strong front for them, even if she has to internalize a lot of her personal struggles. Megan seems to be a really good sister, as they are extremely close, get along really well, and she actively asks him what's wrong if she senses anything he's struggling with. Jess while being an asshole now, was apparently nice before hand. So why does this Piece of Shit feel absolutely no ways, about scheming to rape them? it just makes him look like a trash human being, as he has no real motivation for wanting to do this. Yea "no consequences" but somebody isn't going to simply actively hurt the ppl around them without much thought just because of that. What makes it even more perplexing is that from what we gather, Liz has done a pretty good job raising her other kids, yea doesn't really treat the MC differently, so why is he such a Piece of Shit? My lowkey theory is that, his the person in the simulation isn't actually part of this family, and just made to think so, but that's just headcanon i came up with to make some sense of the story. Personally I think due to the whole groundhog day thing, they shouldn't have made incest a thing at all, cause it takes development for the characters to be okay with it.

I'm interested in your Hidden Scenes idea, but i feel it would produce the same issue no? in essence the game would still revolve around grinding towards sex/rape scenes, that end up being rushed because there's a lack of organic development. Unless your saying that unlocking said scenes would be like a puzzle as opposed to a grind, and finally unlocking them would break the loop, and force the MC to face consequences. That i'm all for as it could be interesting, but it would have to be genuine consequences not the bullshit Season 2 came up with, as this could spur character development. Something like:

Liz- she's finally made aware her son has been trying to rape her, and MC is forced to not only own up to his actions, but put in work to redeem himself, realizing he needs to start valuing other ppl as human beings.

Jess- made aware her brother had been trying to take advantage of her drunkness, to get her to fuck him. MC is put under the wringer as Jess "Punishes" him for his actions, and he's forced to prove to her he's not a PoS.

Elle and Zoe- this could stay the same as I think the whole double booking both women thing could work. They both "dump him" and he realizes that he could have had genuinely had either one, but due to his greediness fucked that up.

That's just a few in mind.

This should have been Season 2, instead we not only get the same bullshit but the MC is rewarded for his shittiness. Why is Liz okay with fucking her son, when the day before she not only thought it was wrong, but only did it, because she felt she had to or he would never have a normal life? Why is Jess all of a sudden "I've been a horrible sister, now i want to make it right by sexual acts", because she saw his big dick, got paid a few compliments, and was forced to "help him out"? This game legit just feels like the ppl programming the simluation are just rewriting shit so the MC can keep doing what he's doing, lol(which might be what's actually happening as the girls do seem to change in little ways even on repeats of the same days).

I like the idea that with time repeating some things do change and the day/characters gets "corrupted".
as it ended with the "double" it seems like a perfect ending for a good day and an interesting new perspective.

I cant say that the game is perfect but quite GOOD, I did lot like at all some of the Jessica with a stranger schemes, I really hate NTR "surprises" in some cases I do enjoy a NTR game when I know from the start its full on NTR and I have no "expectations" for anything else. but I hate surprises like that.

By the seven hells, these are passionate ideas. :D

Yeah, that's a bad idea in my opinion, but if you look closely, that's also how TV shows are written these days. At the end of each season, the feedback are studied to know which projections are most likely to please. I think it's a disaster, creatively speaking. And on closer inspection, Icenton gets closer to the porn industry, applying the same scenario rules. Always and and even more visual, because it sells better.

I completely agree. The Mc lives in an almost idyllic family, and really has no valid reason to want revenge on them. He is his mother's darling, his sister Megan's best friend, who could, with Zoe, help him become a cool guy with the girls. And he could callenger himself to understand what has changed with Jess.... In short, so many possibilities.

No, or rather yes my idea of integrating the hidden scenes is not to let the Mc continue to make absurd and incoherent choices. In my idea, this would bring several possibilities to break this loop, and of course, to force him to face all the consequences of his shenanigans, in front of his family and friends appalled by the revelations of the acts of the Mc and his puerility .

Guys just a question...the hints/phone GUI part from Echoes of lust is still there in the Lust Theory? I started with S2E8 (came from Echoes S2E7) and there is no GUI in the game. Is my game broken or its just like this?

When i play something really poorly designed, or poorly written, the cogs in my brain go into overdrive thinking about how it could be done better. Alan Moore said to read back books if you want to learn how to write better, and i see why, lol.

Yep, and it's why so many TV shows, are derivative nonsense with no charm. A Market driven Design philosophy means you will always work within the same formula as you pointed out, and that your constantly chasing trends, totally replacing the "human" aspect of the creative process in favour of data(I can do derivitive but it needs to have charm). It won't allow your content to stand out, as it looks just like everything else. It can work for a big company as they can afford to throw shit at the wall and see what sticks, but for an Indie Dev? way riskier. What confuses me though, is if this was the approach they were going to take, why go with the groundhog day bit? seems to make things even more challenging than necessary.

The way i see it, MC approaches the ppl in his lives, like a Player in a Dating Sim. They are not human beings to him, so he gives no fucks how his actions affect them, notice whenever there's consequences he's always worried about how it affects him? or even when their dealing with personal issues he only cares, if it gets in the way of him getting to rape/fuck them? Feels like a straight up player insert, which wouldn't even be that much of an issue if we had genuine choices, and he didn't talk so damn much(though ironically what he says, does nothing to expand on his characterization). sigh, I just feel like everything about his character is so poorly done, like they intentionally decided to make all the wrong choices in regards to writing the character. It's a genuine problem when i'm happier when he gets blue balled(which happens a lot), or righteous justice, or denied sex, than when he gets sex. Your audience needs to be able to connect to the MC in some shape or form, or it creates a disconnect with the rest of the narrative. From what i have seen on this thread, not many ppl actually discuss the narrative beyond the implications of the simulation, that's not a good thing. There's just so many other ways they could have done things to make things easier on themselves. It sucks because i do like the characters beyond the MC, it's why i kept playing.

I would be on board for your idea. It sound similar to Dreams of Desire, which had a similar MC, but not only had him reflect on his actions(he constantly though about how fucked up he was), he actually cared about the ppl in his life beyond just fucking them, then when the consequences came a'knockin' he was crushed by what he had done, and worked to redeem himself. It was a janky story but it had heart, and i respect that. This game not so much, but i'm hoping Season 3 changes that.

This game has jumped the shark at this point..best to end it and focus on Summer with Mia + develop a new game imho.

Overall still an enjoyable game and Jessica is by far the best girl (love the tsundere type)

Is Summer of Mia written better, or at least designed better? Been hesitant since this game has been so poor.

In my opinion yes. This game is focused on the reset gimmick so the characters and their relationships never really develop much and its more about trying a dozen ways until the MC finally bangs them. Now the dev is running out of ideas with the clone shit and its just repetitive

Summer with Mia is more of a normal story. It has two parts already and is focused on the romance with the MC's sister + other girls as well and the relationships progress naturally. I definitely feel more invested here
