Do places like F95 help with exposure and ultimately more patrons for the developers? Maybe. The actual amount is unknown and likely exaggerated by people here to add some silver lining to them being thieves and thinking they're doing the devs a favor or something.
Why is there a problem with just respecting the developer, the industry, and the content enough to just wait a few days or a week so they can maximize sales though?
I mean, it's not like previous updates aren't released for free with pretty much all of these games. The dev here even said he would post it himself here after a few days even. You aren't helping with exposure when you post latest versions of games the day they release. It's basically saying fuck you to the devs face and we don't care about your shit or life for that matter.
It's one thing to post dev updates, teaser images, etc, but you could at least wait a few days or a week on the actual update. Let them try and maximize what they can during that time. If I knew who the patron was who was leaking updates as soon as they release I'd ban them also, because frankly I wouldn't want them as one of my supporters when they're actively hurting me, and they sure as hell know what they're doing.
It does hurt when you post it immediately. People do unsubscribe because pirate versions are up so fast. I've seen it and been told that from Patreon surveys you get when you unsub. People refund things on Steam because they get posted online the day of. And you're fooling yourself if you think there aren't plenty of people out there who'd be willing to buy something, but say instead lets wait a bit and see if it gets posted soon on so and so site.
You're actively kill the porn game industry when you have no respect to the content creators or the industry when you can't fucking wait a few days to a week before sharing it all over the place. And why do you do this? For fucking clout and likes on forums like this one...
It's amazing how many people refuse to even support creators with even just one fucking dollar. People consume more porn than pretty much any other entertainment out there, yet some how porn isn't worth paying for because there's so much free content out there.
