first off - I'm no writer, I tried, and it's bloody difficult
but anyway:
IMHO the ending is sort of in line with Matrix original trilogy and Mass Effect game (that I personally didn't have a problem with), if you start off strong and keep on ramping up complexity and excitement, you run into a problem - the expectation keeps on rising and audience expect more and more, but every knob is already turned to 11, and you have nothing to work with
compare that to original Star Wars for instance, 4 - intro, 5 - downturn, 6 - happy ending
I think this needed a slowdown around E6-7-8, then it would be easier to write a proper ending instead of this Incentogasm and VR crap
