The split version is just for ease of download if you have an unstable internet connection, but they aren't independent pieces of the game.

It's just the original archive split into five partial archives, but you still need to download them all to reconstruct the original archive.

You can't unpack a single part.

So, if you already have the full archive there's no point in downloading the split one, because at the end of the story you'll just have another copy of the game you already have.

---

The compressed version, instead, has lighter images and animations, so it could be fastest to play on slower hardware... Provided that the glitch comes with rendering of pictures and animations.
If the glitches you are experiencing comes from the running of python scripts, then you'll notice no speed increase with the compressed version, because the scripts are exactly the same.
how do you unpack the split versions correctly?

You download all the split parts in the same directory, then just give the usual unpack command on the first part and the unpacking program (personally I use 7zip) will automatically take all the parts into account.

And after that make sure you have enough space in your hard drive to decompress yet another huge compressed file, if not, you may want to delete the "smaller" ones

Oh, yes. I forgot.

This applies to this particular case, because they didn't bother unpacking the original archive and repacking it with the split option.
Instead they just zipped the original zip, so now when you unzip the split zip you get the original zip and guess what? You have to unzip it... :HideThePain:

During the sex scene with Jess, she says "all this base are belong to you." What in the ghetto redneck 97 IQ 'Murica is that supposed to mean?

It's a legendary quote from a badly translated game, used for many memes, as shown in the post before me. Us nerds know it, but we also know where it comes from. Jess only tries to pose as a nerd and has no clue that people laugh about it and uses it in a very inappropriate moment.

inceton really likes to put memes/ internet references in their games. the original RPG maker living with mia had many references like this.
