i dont think inceton is gonna profit of thier new DRM system . i 100% see them dropping this system by the end of this year . its like ad code stuff all over again .

Inceton updated their protection, so I'm not able to decompile .rpyc files, and thus I cannot provide a patch.Unfortunately, (as per my credits to xorxorrax on that post of mine) I was able to write my just because for v0.5.1 they used the same "renpy/script.py" they used for LustBound v0.4.1b for which xorxorrax provided , so at the time I just used the "renpy/script.py" provided by xorxorrax and it also worked for LustTheory v0.5.1
But as per LustTheory v0.5.2 it doesn't work anymore.

I'm not sure if this is a global renpy thing, but between v5.0 and v5.2 of the game, in the \renpy\script.py folder I see random library added, and it appears the standard read_rpyc_data function is replaced with a new fuze_tea function, which is doing a bunch of weird byte manipulation.
So my thought is they modified the standard renpy compile/decompile function to their own custom format, which is why universal tools don't work. We have the function but is beyond me as well for the time it would take to make it trigger

If your protection turns out to be effective here's what's going to happen: those that can't afford to do patronage won't play your games anymore.
It's not like water: those who cannot afford to patronage you, if they cannot play your games for free anymore, will simply ignore them.
You might be happy for that, but that won't give you a single euro more...
BUT it is costing you either developing effort that could have spent in delivering more content to your legitimate subscribers or fees to the company you outsourced encryption to.
Either way, for your matter of principle that won't give you a single new subscriber you are overcharging your legitimate subscribers by wasting a part of what they are pledging on something that is not bringing any value to them.

Well, all their games are until they go to Steam/GOG (which then means they are completed). There were a couple of other dev's that tried this and all failed or are now abandoned.
There is one that has this kind of login protection, but has a crack. That game is: Shale Hill Secrets [v0.18.9b] [Love-Joint]
Eventually though, someone will figure out a way to bypass it (this isn't Denovo level protection, I shouldn't be giving them any ideas), Ren'Py is all open, and there are much smarter people out there.
Loved LT2, the later Mia games, but Inceton is losing it a bit on writing quality. Maybe they've bitten off more than they can chew. The latest stories including this one seem to have been written by a horny post pubescent computer nerd. There's a lot of sex, and the animations are getting better and better, and there's no questioning the quality of the characters. Jessica is one of my all time favorites. But there's no depth to the relationships of these characters anymore. It was never great but now there's nothing. It's like they love fucking but don't really care much about each other. The sex scenes are staged like a biology demonstration. Sex without passion is a pretty boring thing, particularly when you're experiencing it from the third person perspective.

Precisely, and sadly that's what I'm reduced to anymore with the newest Inceton releases. I'll play the first episode of whatever new they release, and if it follows the same pattern of emotionless sex with random women it drops into the unren category. As of right now, that's everything they've released since the middle of the first Lust Bound. But for me, that's unfortunate because for a while there I personally thought they were one of the best studios out there. I don't anymore. You know it's odd, maybe it's my age, but it just appears to me anymore there's no appreciation for the way women like to be treated. Emotionally, physically and sexually. I think these games would be so fucking much hotter with a bigger focus on the way people act, treat and feel towards each other.

This patch should fix the issues with the loader in script.py, didn't test it that much but un.rpyc works.
