Don't know what happened to this studio, but it seems like they dropped off the rails a little bit recently. Maybe they bit more than they were able to chew with this Episode 5 since it seems like they can't get their shit together right now. And they are supposed to release Episode 6 at the end of this month, when they haven't even been able to fix Episode 5 yet? Don't see it coming, especially when they are planning to release Episode 2 of Inside Jennifer also this month. But maybe that is the problem. Maybe they have too much stuff on the plate at the moment. Honestly can't see Inside Jennifer reaching it's end, but end up being abandoned...once again.

Every build that I've ever played had the bonus code on the main menu.
You're either blind or something is preventing you from seeing the option.
I've unfortunately found myself in a position where I am unsure what do, and have tried everything. What needs to be done to continue Ellie's story, when it says I need to do something on the Sophie path? Secondly what special event do I need to complete to continue Amy's path? Those are the only two paths I have not finished.
If you play through part 1 will all the events transfer over to season two? Or does it just assume events. Asking cause some events I did did not show in part 2.

You need to have completed all the other paths and discovered something about stopping time, I think. I was stuck here but hadn't completed Jessica's path.
So what you are missing are the "Sleep day" and "Xmas episode". Sleep day can be triggered by clicking the duct tape in the garage. For Christmas bonus, well, it's tied to the Christmas, so either you use some cheats or then change your computers calendar settings to Christmas.
Do you have mods installed? If so, the mods will remove the bonus content code option from the menu.
1. What needs to be done? Well, as it says, to complete Sophie's quest to be able to continue Ellie's quest. Some quests are tied to each others and need to be progressed to be able to continue the others, so you can't basically skip any of the girls and some of them you need to do in specific order.
2. You need to learn the superpowers. According to their Discord going to bed and reseting the day will trigger that special event. However to trigger it, you need to have everything from the earlier episodes done before you can proceed to that.
So this is from their Discord: first check that you have completed everything else from previous episodes, so you only have Megan's, Zoe's and Amy's quests with "special event" in hints. Then reset the day by going to sleep and it will trigger the special event and after that open the quests.

I appreciate the reply, but I guess what I meant, is how do you begin the Sophie quest? I assumed it required going to the mall, but that does not seem to be the case.
At noon in main characters room, answer Sophie's phone call. That starts Sophie's quest.
