I'm not sure what problems you may be having, but it works just fine on my system. I'm using EndeavourOS, KDE Wayland. I just use a terminal, change to the installed directory and run the following:

./LustTheory2.sh &>/dev/null

Everything pops up just fine. What error messages do you see when you run it (without the &>/dev/null)?

To me, it sounds like that is a corrupted file. I've never seen that kind of error before in anything I have played. The same file in my system reports as:

LustTheory2: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked, interpreter /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2, for GNU/Linux 2.6.32, stripped

and file size 14,384 B.

I would first delete the existing directory with the game, and re-download the season 2 file, and re-extracting it.

I downloaded the whatever the newest update is but they keep saying " ' " instead of "brother". Is there a way to fix this? Rather not have to go through 925 pages of this thread hoping to find a patch link that works for season 3

As workaround, after enabling the Console, you can press Shift+O and give the following command:
b_r = 'Brother'
and hit return. Then Esc to close the Console.

To enable the Console you have to use UnRen , select option 1 to unpack .rpa archives, then option 2 to decompile .rpyc back into their .rpy sources - then do NOT use the option to automatically enable the Console because it doesn't work with Inceton. Instead open the game\versions.rpy file with your favorite text editor and change line 3 from config.console = False to config.console = True WITHOUT CHANGING THE INDENTATION (personally I also change False to True in line 2, but I don't think it's mandatory)

Hey guys!

Hope you're doing great, minus the fact that's Monday and all...
Let's jump in this weeks report, shall we?

The v0.8.4 Delay (And the Domino Effect It Caused)
As most of you saw on Friday, Lust Theory S3 v0.8.4 didn’t release as planned.
We ran into unexpected technical issues, and once Lancelot reviewed the build, he immediately hit us with a firm but loving (we hope):
"Nope. This isn’t going out like this."
We stand by quality first, even when it hurts a little.
Because of that last-minute decision, all other scheduled releases shifted by one week, including the next update for Resort of Temptation. We know delays aren’t fun, but rushed content would be even worse.
The silver lining?
That extra time has already paid off. The build is improving fast, and we’re on track to release v0.8.4 this week, stronger and sexier than before.

A Little Tease for What’s Coming (Yes, That Update)
This week, MC faces a “terrible hardship.”
He has to fuck Ellie.
Truly… tragic.
Our thoughts are with him in these difficult times.
But the real challenge comes after.
Will he be able to keep his word and let her go?
v0.8.4 delivers the second part of Ellie’s conclusion, and right after her story wraps, something new begins.
Someone new.
A girl many of you have been waiting (not so patiently) to see take center stage.
That’s right.
Alice is stepping up.
And she’s about to shake things up in a big way.

Times like this, I always remember the Miyamoto quote (There is some debate over whether he actually said it originally, but once he heard of it, he endorsed and said it, so it is now a quote from him even if he got it from elsewhere originally) "A delayed game may eventually be good; a rushed game is bad forever"

I think depends on the success on steam.inceton makes Poll to see what people want too.

I'd be surprised if they still want to milk this cow - the story will be done this season and they have other projects that need attention. (Lust Bound will be the main one after I think)
Also, this was their main game for so long (Mia was the first) - they need a new main story

But undercover nora and lust bound will be finished first before the poll.

Embercat I really loved this update! The BttF stuff was well done and things like that always help with my immersion and just overall enjoyability. Similar parodies would be welcome if you have any more ideas!

Okay, so I have dowloaded V0.8.3. And this is where I am stuck at. Thing is I have already completed all the other quests, what am I missing here? Help , please.

It's hard to tell without knowing which stage you're currently at. However, I think if you check the "HINTS" with each girl, you'll see instructions on what to do next on one of them eventually. Play that through, and it should able you to proceed with Elizabeth. Hope that helps.

I really hate to be a bringer of bad news but, it's part of the job I guess...
On that note, it's time for a little honesty hour from the team.

Remember last week’s delay for Lust Theory S3 v0.8.4?
Well… we’re still not ready to release it.

Not because of bugs, not because of renders (okay, maybe some of them), not because Carol hacked our build (this time)…
but because we ran into major story issues.

And since we’re deep in the final stretch of development - shaping the endings, tying together every choice, loop, consequence, and all the chaos MC caused, we cannot release a story update unless everything lines up perfectly.
If something doesn’t make sense now, it will break everything later, and we can't end Lust Theory that way.

We had to take a step back, re-evaluate some scenes, and make sure it all connects the way it’s supposed to.
In other words:
We’re polishing the ending of a multi-year story, and we refuse to half-ass it.

We know waiting sucks, especially when we’re this close to the finish line.
We’re really sorry for another delay, but you have to trust us:
you wouldn’t enjoy the new update that doesn’t fully work or has a story hole big enough to swallow the whole Lust Theory universe.

The good news?
Everything is back on track, the fixes are underway, and we’ll give you more info soon. ❤

Of course I'm not happy by the delay per se, BUT I am happy they are trying hard to make things right and to provide a story that makes sense.

We all want the story to make sense, and not a rushed inconsistent finale.
