Since some people have expressed interest in what I'll be doing next, I wanted to share a brief update on what I'm doing now. I'm aware this is the 'Lust Theory' page, so I intend to make this my **ONLY** post on my next steps and ongoing creative journey in VN space.
For the last few weeks, since being let go from Inceton, I have been doing everything in my power to stay creatively engaged in the AVN space. I have secured new work, writing with a more traditional gaming company to pay the bills. Still, I feel very strongly that THIS space is where I feel most at home and want to continue pursuing and putting my creative effort and energy into.
After attending to the most important matter of getting a new job, I've been spending as much spare time as I can commit to better learning the sides of AVN development I'd need to make my own games - putting a particular focus on learning coding through Renpy and rendering with Daz3d. I've also been making a business risk assessment, setting milestones, and creating a timeline to complete my first project and meet my savings goals. I desperately need to upgrade my equipment, and sourcing a computer capable of rendering at quality and speed is my top priority. I currently operate off a potato with wires attached to a monitor.
While I'm working toward that, I am focusing on learning the skills I'm lacking, exploring ways to build community and engage with the AVN sphere in other ways during this period, and, of course, writing and developing the plot for my story, Hero Worship Summer.
Hero Worship Summer is a project dear to my heart, a story series I wrote on Literotica under the pen name Wordforgedsoul before I got my job with Inceton.

A few years later, you receive a call from Robert, the father of one of the girls, inviting you to their summer lakehouse for the last summer break before the girls separate for college.
What you and Robert don't know is that the girls you rescued have their own plans to 'thank you' for saving their lives.
While you build the ultimate summer adventure with five eager girls wanting to reward you for your heroic deeds of the past, it doesn't take long to realise your girls have issues in the present that threaten their lives now just as much.
Will you be able to keep your summer liaisons secret? Will you be able to cut through the pleasure and fun to recognise the greater stakes at play for your unlikely summer harem? And will you settle for just the five girls throwing themselves at you, when it's clear others staying with you have taken an interest in you too?

It's been a blast returning to this project and exploring it anew from a VN angle. It opens up the story in new, exciting ways, and I've loved seeing how adding choices and an interactive experience enrich it.

I'm currently creating a Patreon (it will likely be free for some time and will only serve to update people interested in the project and who want news). I'm also creating a Discord server, which I aim to use as a kind of developer's journal space for people to laugh at me as I meander my way through, but also where I can enthuse about my favourite AVN titles, leave reviews, and maybe engage in some long-form erotic request fiction for any who'd care to read it.
Very excited for this next step, and hoping my recent disappointments become nothing more than stepping stones on the path before me, leading to better places ahead.

For now, have a chuckle at my noob-level skills with the first EVER render I have managed to create with Daz3d. This is Savannah, she's an athlete with her eyes on Olympic glory. She's a lovely girl and definitely deserves a better artistic representation than what I can achieve with my abilities and my potato PC. But hopefully, I get better and do her justice eventually. :'D

As much as I understand why the ending came out the way it did, both in game itself and the fact that the lack of time didn’t allow the writers to flesh some things out a bit better, I still think the option to fix everything could have and should have been done, and it COULD be solely because of one thing - Alice’s ending. Carol showed she can literally reset EVERYTHING from scratch. She brought everything back to Thursday. There is NO reason she couldn’t reset it to Friday before everything went to shit, which would have allowed MC to arrange a meeting with all the girls to show them Carol and then explain himself. He’d be forced to rip every band aid off at once, make sure Ellie doesn’t go to prison, help Nicole with her blackmailing issues and everything else. Ellie would understand quick that anyone would lose their mind and probably try and fuck anything with a pulse if there was no consequence to anything after a while, and I think the rest would eventually agree. Hell, they probably would think MC was full of shit with Carol and the time loops, but if she could mess with him since the beginning, there’s no reason she couldn’t do it to everyone else. Go through their own Friday a couple times and they’d have no choice but to accept that he was telling the truth about it all. Some may not like it but I’d like to think they could eventually forgive him and maybe even end up joining any potential harem. Many of them seemed to get along that you wouldn’t expect.
That all being said, I don’t think Alice would be accepted by the others. Maybe not right away, maybe not ever. Not to say she was cool with MC fooling around with everything that moves and then decide to join on in, but I’d hope she could see his perspective. He didn’t know about her or Carol for the longest time. I don’t think they’d blame Alice for what Carol did, but the fact that Carol did come out of her brain and she didn’t stop to think what it may be doing to MC would probably put the harem off quite a bit. Plus it made the whole plot of MC trying to fix everything in one day like a waste of time even though he seemed kinda close save for Ellie.
Overall, it was about what we expected for the ending in spite of the rush job. Good but could have been a little better. Props to finishing the story though. How many AVNs get abandoned, right? Most satisfying ending to me was Zoe and Megan. Best was the household since it wouldn’t take much for Zoe and Chloe to get involved eventually. Least interesting was solo Elizabeth imo.
